It has been a bit since I put out a Ramble. Seems to be so much going on that I don’t put the priority here at times. @artemisnorth and I have started a show on Rambling Radio which is about manually curating posts on the platform.
Artemis is the curator behind @fiberartists and @paddlingnature. Each week we’ll be inviting other curators onto the platform to talk about the platform, posts we’ve curated and why we curated them. It’s a great opportunity to learn how content is evaluated by real people on the platform.
The show takes place Tuesdays at 2pm EDT / 6pm UTC in the Steemit Ramble discord and streamed live on DLive. Listen in there or join us in the audience.

Writers' Block Update, Direction and Future
@gmuxx is one of the admins at @thewritersblock and part of the @noblewitness witness team. He’s posted here about the changes which are going on at the block and some of the effect it has had. Great post as always @gmuxx
Featured Member:@thekittygirl
One of the groups I belong to on Discord is @thealliance. The leader @enginewitty regularly features a member for a week so the other members of the fam can get to know them. This week he chose @thekittygirl. Going to urge everyone to click through and look at her posts, leave comments and upvote them. @thekittygirl is truly one of the unsung people on the platform and any where she goes is better for her being there.
Workout: Editing 101 #1
The Writers’ Block has introduced editing workshops to help people not only to learn the basics of editing writing but through that learning strengthen our own writing.
Ulog 10: Ulog Doodle Contest Entry
@eveningart quickly showed herself to be a talented artist on the platform. In this post she’s decided to get playful and doodle the word ULog. Actually, it’s a contest entry. I love the result and she has done a time-lapse video of her process.
Signs
@thekittygirl is a solid content creator on the platform and this post is definitely one of those. She’s got an eye for spotting what is different and a talent for presenting it in a very interesting and informative manner. This post on how people are preserving and displaying old signs is definitely worth the read.
Making Soap For @bluefinstudios Ulog 3
@andysantics48 shares with us her process of making a soap with a fragrance that guys would appreciate. I regularly use soap a friend makes from goat’s milk that isn’t scented. The joys of fair skin. I love how she’s presented this post, even if she did get so immersed in the process she forgot some picsWhen Fear Stopped Being Normal.
When Fear Stopped Being Normal
@monchhichi23 post on the topic of fear for Drop in The Ocean at the @buddyup server gives a courageous look into part of the world of an abuse survivor. Well written.
A Snook Ramble about Beauty & Friends
@snook can be a lot of laughs or she can be very perceptive with her observations on humanity. In typical @snook fashion, this post is both. She talks about beauty and friendships in the personna of a witch. Rather unique approach.
Shout-Out Saturdays!! -- Issue #6 from The Weasel's Wife -- The All-Along-the-Spectrum Edition
@theweaselswife draws attention to three excellent Steemians in her beautifully descriptive way of noticing the details and wordpainting them to us. Great work.
Broken
@jasminearch starts this post off with a 50 word microfiction post from one of @jayna’s prompts and then goes on to talk about the Japanese art of Kintsugi or Kintsukuroi, repairing broken pottery with a special lacquer and gold, silver or platinum. Interesting read.
About the Steemit Ramble
The Steemit Ramble is a manual curation project written by @shadowspub since August 2016. She scours the blockchain to locate and share the best posts so you don't have to. Every day many quality posts disappear on the blockchain leaving their authors frustrated they aren't seen and readers just as frustrated trying to find them. This curation project brings readers and authors together.
How You Can Participate?
As hard as she works, @shadowspub doesn't find all the best. You, as a reader, will find posts that have been missed and really should be seen. You can take a part in bringing these posts to light and earn a share of the post they are published in.
The Steemit Ramble has it's own discord called, Steemit Ramble. Here you can nominate posts you've found and think belong in the Ramble.
How to Nominate a Post
- Read How I Manually Curate to give you an idea of what I'm looking for in a post. This covers the formatting, the quality of the writing is just as important.
- When you find a post visit the Ramble discord and submit it to the #nominate-someones-post channel by writing a short nomination
It's that easy. I review each submission. Those I select will receive credit for the nomination, their nomination will be part of the entry in the Ramble and they will receive a portion of the SBD earned when the post pays out.
Supporting the Steemit Ramble Curation Project
In addition to reading and upvoting the Steemit Ramble, you can support the project and the authors featured in it by:
Delegating even as much as 25 SP to @steemitramble -- this will increase the voting power of the account when it votes on those curated. Delegating is like loaning me some of your Steem Power so I can vote on others posts with a larger vote.
Join the curation trail on SteemAuto and then join the curation trail. The trail is called Steemit Ramble
Pimp Your Post Thursday
Don’t forget, Pimp Your Post Thursday takes place every Thursday at 11am and 7:00pm EDT on the Steemit Ramble Discord. Come and join the fun promoting your posts and getting to know others.

I'm finally in the right account to answer you. (It seems like some days all I do is sign in and out of my various costumes.) I also came by several days ago and upvoted your new @steemitramble and totally missed the fact that I was included in it. (I got lost reading some of my companions in the list.)
I found your notice from you and Dawn on my post though and did manage to thank you both. (I haven't totally forgotten my manners.) One of my alter-egos also got you a small subscription to Dustsweeper so I know my tiny upvotes on your comments -- no matter what I'm wearing at the moment -- won't just evaporate.
Thank you so much for all that you do. (And thank you again for featuring me.) You are one of the true jewels on Steemit! Hope you have a terrific morning / day / evening -- whenever you find this!
