I was disappointed to see Rachael at my door, but I hugged her and helped take her bags. Dinner supplies and one full of Duct Tape, bleach and plastic sheeting. We set everything in the kitchen before either of us said a word.

The Dead Don't Remember by @tabyington is deliciously dark, creepy, and full of sweet vengeance.

This is yours and it ain't got no credit. You answer in three rings no matter when I ring or I'll kill whoever you're with when I find you.

Now There Be Dragons by @internutter is a beautiful reimagining of the world with dragons in it.

and I mended the bend in the branches of our family tree.

Not Broken, Just Bent by @bia.birch is such a gorgeous piece of poetry about finding healing in acknowledging our problems without letting them overtake us. Love her use of tree metaphors throughout.

We all won
Not by boxing in nature
But giving it its own reflection

The Best Kind of Blues by @itinerantartist is a fabulous poem about my favorite kind of architechture- the ones that reflect nature without attempting to conquer it.

Finally, he gave the gift of not giving, at a time when giving is an expectation and that was good enough for a bookend.

In One by @kimberlylane is a stream of consciousness piece that blurs the line between prose and poetry, exploring the issues of past dependencies.
