The Steem Atlas team are happy to see that applications for March's Community Curators are again being invited from developers of games and apps.
Having the use of the SC03 account during February has been very positive for the growth of Steem Atlas.
It has meant we have been able to give useful rewards for many good quality posts.
We are delighted therefore to be making another application for a Community Curator account for March.
Steem Atlas : Progress during February
Steem Atlas is a map based interface to the Steem blockchain developed by the @pennsif.witness team (@pennsif, @rexthetech, @freelance.monkey).
The site has seen significant progress during February both in terms of technological development and usage.
Steem Atlas is now seeing almost 40 posts being added each day from almost 100 different authors. Usage has more or less doubled in the past month.
On the technological side Steem Atlas has seen a major revamp of the front end to improve the user experience and to make it much easier to locate and pin posts.
Key features such as search by user, by tag and most recently by location have also been added in the past month.

There has also been continual work going on to optimise the performance of the site, particularly for mobile users. There is still more to be done on this front.
As a starting point in developing a sustainable business model for the site, the Atlas Assist beneficiary support system has been successfully introduced.
In the first 10 days over a hundred posts have set beneficiaries to @steem-atlas ranging from 10% to 25% in support of Steem Atlas.
The other major advance for the project took place just yesterday with the appointment of the first 6 Atlas Ambassadors.
Based across five different countries the Ambassadors will be playing a key role in helping to promote Steem Atlas to a wider audience.
How a Community Curation Account would help grow Steem Atlas
Having access to a Community Curation Account for a second month would give Steem Atlas a massive boost.
With the new easier to use version of the site, and with the Atlas Ambassadors just appointed, Steem Atlas is poised to really take off in March.
Our target is for growth of at least 30% during the coming month.
A Community Curation Account will very definitely make that target achievable.
The Future of Steem Atlas
Steem Atlas is rapidly establishing itself as one of the key apps on the Steem blockchain.
The site demonstrates how Steem is an ideal platform for crowdsourced user generated content.
We very much see Steem Atlas as an outward looking project.
It has great potential to attract people to join Steem.
People cannot resist a zoomable map with pins - they will always zoom in to explore places they know 😀
Thank you
Pennsif & the @pennsif.witness team

As a user of this platform, I would like to see pennsif handle the Steemcurator03 account again. We witnessed his great support in the best posts in February.

It has been a month of great support through account 03 for all that good content, we have all visited many places and of course we hope for more progress and advances with this great project. Greetings 💗

Greetings friend @pennsif.
I think it would not be unreasonable to leave a Steemcurator account to be managed by you and the ambassadors of the Steem Atlas Project, in this way exclusive support would be dedicated to the consolidation of the same, and to reward the hard work that the ambassadors must fulfill. On the other hand, it would be reducing the workload that the curation process generates for a single person (I say this without the intention of underestimating the capacity of @pennsif)
Maybe friends @steemcurator01 and @pennsif can think about it.

This month was one of great growth and support for many authors of high-quality content who joined to participate in the project, every day more are joining. I am sure that if it is repeated, more authors will participate and quality content will continue to be awarded, with many leaving their comfort zone and contributing with posts in a little different way than the repetitive dairy games.
