In spirit of Curie's transparency, we wish to use this weekly section as an ongoing development blog on our project to communicate our progress on top of the many casual exchanges happening in channel #curie.

  • Check out the recent announcement for Steem Guild.
  • Remember to follow and interact with authors that you love whenever going through The Daily Curie.

  • Adding to Curie's initiative this week is @kushed. We wish to thank @kushed for donating their voting power.

Weekly Statistics

Over the last week, Project Curie curated a total of 793 posts at an average of 113 posts per day. This is pretty much flat week-over-week, with a subtle increase of 5% over the previous week.

A total of 483 unique authors were rewarded. This figure is flat over the previous week after seeing a rise in voted unique authors two weeks ago after seeing through process changes for better outreach. Still covering over 25% of actively engaged users on Steemit, we are preparing to curate deeper into the frontiers of fresh, new accounts.

Since Steem Guild's announcement, we have passed well over 150 accounts that were previously supported by Curie to make way for the wave of new accounts.

SBD 15,300 was generated at an average of SBD 19.30 per post. This is sharp decline of 30% in average rewards compared to the previous week. This is largely due to the continued falling price feed of Steem from witnesses, with added selling pressing that seem to have flattened out the entire week. However, the good news is that SBDs are expected to approach the USD parity.

The Top 10 Authors by payouts last week were -

This is a completely fresh list with no repeats from previous weeks! Some of the top authors from last week have found an audience beyond Curie, with a good number entering into Steem Guild's support list.

#curie @ https://steemit.chat/channel/curie

We upvoted 186 posts submitted by curators in #curie, with SBD 560 paid out to curators. Reducing finders fees to 3 SBD / post, we are still seeing a rise of 20% in posts voted in channel Curie.

@fubar-bdhr retains their crown as the top curator on Curie for the 4th week. This master curator is unstoppable! Top curie finders have slightly shifted plates this week, with @cebymaster, @pcgargo, and @onephoto entering into the fray.

Daily Statistics

The average posts curated has increased slightly to about 113 posts per day. This is at the upper limit of our current operational capacity, with a pretty erratic week.

The number of unique authors rewarded is tracking very closely with the total posts - fulfilling our goal of reaching out to as many authors as possible. Daily SBD generated has been constant in the SBD 1,500 - 2,800 range. This number is closely related to the value of Steem and witness price feeds, and substantially lower than previous week's.

Nice to find good posts and to reward those who deserve it. I think Project Curie is very important not only in short term but will remain a hope to all potential precious users even if it's too hard to soustain this incredible project.

Sticked around mainly because of this initiave, because I knew there would be people looking out for our efforts. I thought about giving up after a few articles but I am glad I sticked around because the very next week I was featured 4 times. Thanks again!
