When you get Curied your reward go flying

This is an application for those who are interested in becoming a Curie curator. Curie is a community witness that discovers promising authors with exceptional posts and add value to the platform. At the same time Curie empowers quality curation. If you would like to be part of Curie and join as a curator I would like to help. Curie operates based on meritocracy. If you would like to become a curator you need to be recommended by top curators. Top curators list change every week based on curators' performance. This week I managed to be one of the top curators and I am able to recommend new curators who can demonstrate that they can perform quality curating.

To learn more about Curie please visit @curie blog and our discord channel here. You will find up-to-date information about Curie guidelines in this channel. Curie guidelines change from time to time, and newest update are announced and pinned in this channel.

How does Curie work?

When curators find an exceptional post that fits Curie guidelines they submit it to www.curiesteem.com for a review. Then reviewers review the post and determine whether to approve or disapprove the submission. If the submission is approved that post receives a generous Curie upvote and that approval is counted towards curator's Curation Score. Curators will receive a finder's fee of 10 Steem for each approved post. If the submission is disapproved, that post will not receive a Curie vote and disapproval will lower curator's Curation Score. There is a formula to calculate the Curation Score:

Curation Score(CS) = Number of Posts Approved x (Approval Rate x Approval Rate)

Approval Rate is equal to the number of posts approved divided by the total number of submissions. For example, if I submitted 4 posts, 3 of them got approved and 1 got disapproved my CS would be 1.68

CS = 3 x 3/4 x 3/4

Maintaining high Approval Rate is very important. Because a single disapproval can lower CS significantly. Curators who cannot maintain minimum 50% AR for the given month may be disqualified. On the other hand curators with higher score and approval rate may become top curators. Also, CS determines the number of posts curators can submit for that week. There are 3 tiers:

  1. CS < 2.5 get weekly limit of 5 submissions
  2. CS > 2.5 get weekly limit of 15 submissions
  3. CS => 7 and AR => 90% get unlimited submissions

To review the Curie guidelines please visit the Discord channel and read the pinned posts. Please get familiar with guidelines before considering to apply to become a curator.

How to Apply

After reviewing Curie guidelines, if you still have questions feel free to ask in the comments here. I will try to answers them to the best of my knowledge. However, if you are going to ask questions that are already covered in guidelines I may ignore them.

Once you have a clear understanding of how Curie works, practice curating and once you find an exceptional post please leave the link in the comments. I will review them when I get a chance. After reviewing if I think post qualifies for Curie, I will respond. Some comment may not receive a response from me if they do not fit the basic guidelines. That would just tell me you are not serious about becoming a curator.

Applicants who can prove to be quality curators will be recommended. If an applicant submit 3 posts in the comments that I find exceptional or of great quality, that would be proof enough for me to recommend them. However, constant submissions of poor quality posts that do no add value to the platform or do not meet the guidelines may be ignored.

Quality curating is not an easy task. It does require time, patience, practice and learning. I do not mind mentoring promising curators, as long as they are willing to put in the effort to learn. So please visit Curie Discord channel and read the pinned messages to learn about the guidelines. Also, read this post on Expanded Explanation on guidelines. After reading those if you still have questions, feel free to ask in the comments.

Curie is community witness that has been involved in making Steem work for everybody for more than a year. Please vote for @curie witness to express your support.

@geekgirl, thanks for sharing information about @curie. I just joined the curie discord channel. I noticed that you are the moderator there so I wanted to stop by your blog to show some support.

I have been blessed two times to receive an upvote from @curie. Thanks for the time and effort you invest to make those upvotes possible.

Thanks again!

Thank you for creating awesome content and your kind words.

Wow, this is an amazing opportunity. Thank you @geekgirl. You are too awesome.
I aspire to be one of the curators too to help promote a Steemit culture of excellent content. I'm looking for posts for a while now but dang, it's a really tough job.
If you'll be interested to look at these posts that I think almost made it but ultimately don't qualify XD:
A post about handcrafted toys with beautiful insight about their tradition. Good content but author was just recently curie'd.
Another post about building their cabin, which highlights the progress of the construction. Good content but the user does not engage community much.
I ran it through a plagiarism checker too, and both passed. Am I on the right track?
But I'm going to look for something that would pass all criteria :)

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I searched outside the popular tags and found these two posts that I think qualifies:
A passion-filled post about how she "evolved" as a cupcake baker. The mouthwatering pictures won me over. (6 hrs ago at $0.01)
Another post about her love for tea. The exotic-sounding tea varieties from all over the world are quite interesting. Author leaves brief but personal recommendations on how to use each. (12 hrs ago at $0.56)

First two are ok-ish, second two are better. I think you are in the right direction. Haven't seen exceptional yet.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Thank you for the feedback @geekgirl. This is incredibly tough, but fun.
How about this post about dyeing using herbs, flowers, etc? Seems like a good post for lifestyle blogs. edit: seems like this one was recently curie'd too
This post about making ricotta cheese, but author had recent curie vote.
Or how about this post about a hike with a summit view shot?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

All 3 would be good, if there were no other issues. First one got Curied couple days ago. Second one got Curied yesterday. Also, second one has a video of making cheese from last year. That tells me all photos are old. Third one, if you inspect the photos you can see photos are from 2014. In other words old content.

I think you get the idea. But need to make sure you follow those guidelines. If you know it doesn't fit please don't share, otherwise it is just waste of time.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

That's a great eye for detail. I failed to notice that they were old materials.
Sorry about that, I decided to share it to get an expert curator opinion on the level of quality. Learned a lot from your feedbacks. I'll make sure the next ones qualify. Thank you for your time.

I think you are doing good as far as identifying posts. Just need to work on investigating a bit more :)

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Sorry, this thread got too long. But I hope I got this now.

  1. Crafting + Letter Post with a dose of inspiration.
  2. How to make Kombucha post, but I guess you've seen it already.
  3. A quick but beautiful sketch with a step-by-step process (can qualify after an hour)

Hello! I think this is a great initiative and I would love to be a curie curator since I really love helping the newbies and spend a good amount of time pouring through new articles. I usually have too many tabs open, busy with my own curating!

This will be the first comment/suggestion that I am making. Liz Blake is a really cool chick who makes quality content focusing on health and chocolate and she has not had much recognition lately!
https://steemit.com/health/@lizblake/mood-and-body-enhancing-benefits-of-cacao

Next gem found by me! Real information about outer-space and being an astronaut!
https://steemit.com/steemstem/@blue-steens/nasa-experts-debunk-gravity-to-scottish-audience

Lastly, here is a post by another health conscious girl. She has had some success this last week, so I am not sure if it totally counts. The post really is excpetional though, well researched and in her own words with her own insights. I learnt a lot from it! If I like it so much I want to bookmark it, it must be good.
https://steemit.com/natural/@shoogie/the-dirty-dozen-toxic-beauty-and-hygiene-ingredients-to-avoid

All three seem to fit guidelines, but not exceptional. I think you are in the right direction. Try again.

Alrighty I shall :)

For reference, what makes a post truely exceptional to you?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Look at the posts that @curie has resteemed. Those are exceptional. Those are posts that you would normally see in professional blogs, and are engaging and adds value to the platform. Just because there is a lot effort put in, doesn't mean it is exceptional.

That said also consider other factors, such as author's persistence without much success. I hope you have read the expanded explanation of the guides. It is explained well there.

Yeah I read it, it is pretty thourough! I will check out the Curie posts. A few of mine have been chosen by them so I figure I would know lol, but thus, as you say, curating is not easy! Sure can be fun tho..

If you are signed up on Streemian, you can see the list of latest approved post there as well.

" Because a single approval can lower CS significantly." - just to prove i read this.... I guess you mean "rejection"

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

lol. omg. You are so awesome. Your are hired! (Fixed it. Thank you)

Thanks for sharing this with the community. And congratulation to all the Curie Curator, it's a not easy job but you guys do a wonderful job for that ! Thanks for helping all the minnows. It gives hope !

Hi Roxane! Thank you for your kind words and your support. Great to hear from you.

Question, if you are looking to asses someone´s hability to find quality posts, why do you need the post to be less than 24 hours old? You want to see if the Steemian can find good posts, if they are not even curating for Curie yet, what difference does it make the post age? They are still proving or disproving to you they have the skills to identify exceptional content.

You are absolutely right some guidelines like 24 hour limit doesn't matter much for this purpose. At the same time some people ignore to read and understand the guidelines. Following guidelines is as important as ability to identify quality posts to be a successful Curie curator. That is why I want potential new curators to be fully ready to start as Curie curators.

I have done these mentorship posts multiple times, many have become successful curators. One time when I lowered the bar, and that time curators I recommended failed.

At the end of the day, all I am expecting from the applicant to convince me they can be successful curators. If there was any easier way I would be all for it. It is not like I want to be going through all the submitted posts.

After this step, I invite some promising curators to discord chat where we discuss and share ideas on curating more. Even after recommending we continue discussing and learning from each other.

But yes some guidelines can be ignored for this purpose. Are you interested in getting involved in Curie ?

Being fairly new to steemit (1 month tomorrow:), I have to say that I love this initiative! I am still in awe of the community spirit on this platform. When I began, like most newbies I'm sure, I blogged and waited haha. Then I spent hours 'travelling' around before I figured out, with the help of several, that in order to have followers, I first had to earn my membership, so to speak. I had to become a real part of a community, and then my followers would come naturally out of that. For me, that meant reading and genuinely commenting on other posts, and slowly developing real relationships. I am over the moon now when someone finds my posts worthy of their comments! In the end, it also 'forces' better content too, and that brings me full circle back to you. So, thank you for all you're doing here! Cheers!

Thank you. You are absolutely right, engaging with others is a key part of the platform. Often times poeople just focus on blogging and forget that this not only a blogging but also a social platform.

It is indeed! And interestingly enough, I landed on facebook the other night just to get a message to someone (I feel the need to explain, like a confession haha), and it is such drivel on there. So yes, this needs to be social as well.

Thanks for sharing! A link to your post was included in the Steem.center wiki article about Curie. Thanks and good luck again!

wow, that is great. Thank you.

I would like to say thank you for curie reward last week. It gave me some hopes that my post can be seen without paying to bots. It inspired me to spend last week and create this little figurine exclusive for steemit and give it away. Here is results
https://steemit.com/cryptokitties/@mitchhunter/very-rare-crypto-kitty-figurine-giveaway-details-in-the-post

Oh nice. That figurine is awesome. Thanks for doing this.

It was my pleasure. I felt excitement like at the beginning of my adventure with sculpting when I decided what I want to sculpt and not the client. I hope steemit will help me to make more independent projects in future. If you wish you can take part in the giveaway of this kitty.

In fairness, it's harder than it looks this curation business. Shame I've only just stumbled on this and it's back to work tomo, almost certainly won't have time to find you three golden nuggets.

I have a hunch that following a few promising newbies is probably the best way to go about this, rather than stalking the 'new' option for whatever category...

This is an ongoing process. You don't need to find all 3 same time. Just one at a time when you get a chance. That is actually better approach. You are right it is not that easy, but over time it gets easier. Definitely time consuming. You can revisit this post when you can in the future.

Yes following new promising members is a great idea, as matter of fact many curators do just that.

Thanks for the advice. It's definitely something I want to get into, although I'm probably best waiting for a few weeks until I've got a bit more free-time on my hands (works a little intense right now!)

All three are interesting, but not exceptional.

Thanks for the information!

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I checked all three again, I don't see any of them getting curie vote. Which one got Curie vote? I appreciate your honesty, but why would you feel used? I don't understand.

Update: Ok I saw the third post author's next post got Curied. First of all I didn't submit it. Second, you need to compare two posts and see the difference.

Update 2: There are borderline approvals, and there is exceptional approvals. That post was approved with borderline vote. I can explain you how it works if you are on discord. Again, it is not the post you dropped here.

It was the 3rd author different post. The post I used wasn't the best, but it was the only one that met the time qualifications at the time.

I don't know, maybe I'm taking it too personal. I still plan on submitting better posts when I have more time since I know I can do better, but just sucks from my standpoint...

All I am trying to do is help those want to be Curie curators. I have no intention of hurting anybody's feelings or use anybody. Also I don't claim to know best. I am wrong half of the time. It was just my opinion. But if you are really interested, you can just learn from these experiences. I will be happy to work with you. Ping me on discord when you are there. Sorry if I caused any misunderstanding. :)

Thanks for the help and clarification!

"This week I managed to be one of the top curators" - - - Congratulations! I know you will do an awesome job. Best of luck - Folker

Thank you :)

Thanks to the curators for doing great in your jobs! I just realized how hard your work is, sifting through tons of articles to find the right one, then checking up on the writer/blogger to make sure their stuff aren't plagiarized or taken from the internet, it's really something you need to do with dedication and perseverance. You guys are really supporting the minnows with your work!

I'm posting a link to a someone's blog, I believe she's a photographer, she has some great pictures and she just started to vlog. Her blog's not popular as of now, but her posts and pics are interesting, for those interested in traveling. https://steemit.com/travel/@oliviadejeu/travel-daily-with-me-13-the-many-sides-of-berlin-2003333f15924

Thank you. Is this your entry to become a curator? Sorry wasn't clear from your comment. If yes then try again.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

First one bad formatting, the second one is interesting. Try again, aim for exceptional ones, investigate the author history and post for originality.

Thanks, I'm learning quite a bit as I search :)

I have new ones:
One on a candle-making prodcut = https://steemit.com/candles/@mamajeani/candle-crafting-to-soy-or-not-to-soy
And another on virtual reality = https://steemit.com/technology/@venalbe/blah-blah-and-virtual-realities
And the last one on music, the author's first post = https://steemit.com/music/@fratos9/the-music-of-communism-pervaya-chast

Could you ping me on discord when you get a chance.

Okay :)

I would love to be a curator. I do have 1 question. Proper citation. Is that just a link back to where it first came from or is their a special formatting that has to be followed?

Giving credit when credit is due. It can be link back to the source, but also when presenting some facts they should be backed with citation as where the ideas or facts are from.

Thank you. I know you must be very busy. I do appreciate you taking time to respond. This is something Ive been interested in for months now. I was looking into all the details when I first joined and missed the boat.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any exceptional posts the last couple days.

You're so nice for commenting on this post. For that, I gave you a vote! I just ask for a Follow in return!

Indeed this is an excellent opportunity.

Especially for someone like myself who can devote a good bit of time to manual curating. I shall take a look at the guidelines and hope to get back to you @geekgirl, soon!

Coolioooo

Sounds good.

Hi @geekgirl... Thank you for a very informative post on how curie works.. I just finished reading it. I am an artist and I make charcoal portraits, still life, etc. I joined last July but have been posting my works only last November. It takes time to finish my works like 3-5 hours to 2 days for making a portrait , I have been once ignored by one steemit community/group when I started as a newbie with a reputation of 25 in November. But I am constantly striving hard to earn a good reputation. I hope that someday I will get curied as all my posts were really undervalued. I was losing my hopes and was desperate when I saw someone curied at almost 200 SBD with so simple drawing ... I can assure you that my drawings are of good qualities giving you one sample below with low upvotes. I do not know how else can I be discovered and that´s the reason why I am here if you could only take a minute and visit my site at https://steemit.com/@gremayo ... I will assure you, I won´t dissapoint you. Thank you so much. Tim @gremayo

I am glad you have received your recognition and exposure. Good luck.

Thank you so much maám... I will not forget it!

That wasn't me.

Hey there! This is awesome, but I’m obviously quite late to the party. Whompus. I’ve been curie’d a few times, and am part of the community on Discord. I’d love to be more involved. I’m an artist (a theatre-maker to be exact) who is interested in using this platform to empower creatives to thrive and make revenue from the content they’re already creating as artists!

A few recent posts I’ve loved:

  1. Creating Cinematic Drone Footage - Hints, tips and a video dissection.. This one looks like it already got curie’d -- and I know that @markangeltrueman is a curator -- so maybe this one doesn’t count but I loved it (it has everything I look for in a great article!) -- the video series is exceptional, each one would be deserving of its own post and the effect of the compilation is a treasure-trove for outdoor adventure junkies like me!

  2. Chocolate mousse/ice cream with chia pudding THAT TASTE LIKE A DREAM🌈😍Vegan dessert recipe!. Another account I can’t get enough of is @vegan.niinja who is running the new Vegans of Steemit initiative. Her photography is some of the best culinary photography I’ve seen. She has an incredible eye and deserves to go far!

3. Intervención de cuerpo con poema. This one from @Zailecita is in Spanish, which I know can be tricky for @curie. However, the images that go along with the writing are so strong that I feel it is compelling content which transcends language. What is more, I think that the accompanying poem is simple enough that most people would understand its intent--and the visual storytelling drives it all home. This account is new, with a reputation of 29, so this is an example of the kinds of folks I’m looking to find who are fresh to the platform with outstanding talent!

If you aren’t running this initiative anymore no problem, just had to drop a comment in case! :) See you around. @lilyraabe

Hi. New curators are recommended every week. So this is pretty much open all the time.

To become a curator, you should demonstrate that you are familiar with the guidelines and have great curating skills. While these three posts are awesome, they don't fit the guidelines. First two already received Curie votes. You need to find them before they receive Curie or any other significant votes.
The third one wouldn't qualify either because as you stated it is in Spanish, doesn't fit the guidelines.

While I believe you may be a great candidate, you haven't shown your skills yet. Feel free to get familiar with guidelines and try again. Maybe do that in discord. Thanks

Hey there! So sorry, I didn’t realize they needed to meet the 24-hour deadline for posting here in comments. Roger that. I’ll spend some time finding fresh material that I love and drop it here/in Discord when I do. :) Cheers!

24-hour wasn't the issue here.

Here is another go at this. It is a little over the 3 dollar limit but incredibly inspirational!
https://steemit.com/joy/@ameliabartlett/a-short-guide-for-being-kind

Ping me when/if you see me on Discord.

i shall :)

Not exceptional.

Hello @geekgirl first of all thank you because I know searching through hundreds, if not thousands of posts, is serious hard work. I learned about @curie when one of my posts got curied a few weeks ago. I love what you're doing as it encourages us to always create quality content even if it's not being noticed most of time - because we'll never know when's our lucky day :)

I also have a question. I read your messages with @jazzhero and you mentioned that the 2014 photos make it an old content. I would just like to check what are @curie 's preferences for travel blogs because I plan to post more about my previous travel experiences. Some are from a few years ago. From which year would be considered old? I would like to blog about those that will pass @curie 's standards because I just want to give it a try every time I blog.

Don't blog for Curie, blog for Steem. There are many curators and curations teams out there. Tailoring posts for Curie is not encouraged. Don't think short term, go for long term. Just keep making great posts, curators will find you.

Thanks for that advice @geekgirl I love what you said to "blog for Steem". I will be myself in my writing, blog about what I love to and will keep improving :)

What happens if a curator doesn’t submit a post for some time?

How many post can I share here?

It is totally voluntary. Curators submit if and when they can. If a curator doesn't submit for some time, nothing happens.

Try to submit one at a time. But there is no limit. Ideally I would like to see 3 exceptional posts and 0 non-exceptional. Of course not all at the same time.

Oooh, so that's how it is. I wonder who found my GOT article? Thanks to that person. 😊

Funny thing is, I think it was somebody who became a new curator as a result of this post. :)

Oh excellent.

Oh, I think I am late to see this. I have been aiming to become a curie curator.

It is never late. I may not be able to recommend at this time. But there are other top curators who can recommend. You just need to find out who they are and their methods of mentoring/recommending. Join our Discord.

Oh, I see. i will check it. Thanks again.

Thank you for doing this, and I look forward to helping in the future. Curators are a vital part of every community, and especially one like Steemit.

Thanks!

Thank you.

I really think that what you are doing is very admirable, I am fairly new to Steemit and I am always thinking about articles that could really bring value to people but because I am so new it is very difficult for my articles to be seen. I am so lucky that one of my articles in French got spotted by a French curators team that boosted my article and blog. But it is still a challenge. I do not despair because I know that with time my blog can only improve and I learn so much on Steemit.

Keep working on it, you will get there. Sounds like you already had some success. Good luck.

Yeah, I got really lucky and I am grateful for it.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Omg i have been waiting for this opportunity . thanks for this @geekgirl
Pls how many links can i post here

Start with one.

Interesting, try again.

Should I apply? I managed to find some good posts when I applied I guess 3 weeks ago but not the exceptional ones, so want your opinion if I can perform better?

Yea, see if you can find exceptional ones. This time, I am not doing it in chat. Just here is fine.

I am wondering, how long does a post have to be?

also, can you find awesome posts that belong to a contest but still dont get noticed?

There are no limits. But usually not too long, not too short. Contest post are totally acceptable. Have you read the guidelines and extended explanation post?

yeah, didnt read anything about contest posts tho. Good to know, thank you!

@geekgirl, I noticed you upvoted one of my first posts. I was wondering if submitting my own content is acceptable? I'd like to get involved. Also, if you had any suggestions for improving, as I plan to post very regularly... this is just our first issue on the topic.

Not if you are trying to become a curator. Submitting your own post, means self-promotion. At this time I would recommend creating original, unique, engaging content, and maybe engage with the community and build your followers. Good luck.

Thanks! I'm still interested in curating others' content in general. I was just curious. I have a few authors that will be part of my team for creating this content, but I supposed it would be best to stray away from their content in this regard as well (semi self-promoting).

So to become a curator here, I need to locate at least 3 great posts that fit the criteria?

You need to prove you want and you can be a quality curator. Post and links in the post explain everything.

Hi @geekgirl thanks for the initiative to help aspiring curators:

I would like to recommend the post of @jonathan.tamban to be reviewed for possible curation he did an excellent job on showing his drawing skills and with the creative gifs to start the process.

Here's the link of his work Conservative Nude Sketch Art!!!

Thank you.

Congrats on making it to be a top curator! :)
And thank you for the opportunity.
I think the first time I heard about Steemit was in a youtube video where they also talked about Curie and how curation works and I was intrigued (and read a lot about it since), I would love to be able to join. I found this now:
https://steemit.com/art/@new-yourk/in-search-of-inspiration-i-m-leafing-through-a-new-tab - I really liked seeing the process, I haven't seen this here yet and the poster is quite active without much recognition.

(and I've posted this in the discord post promotion tab yesterday and now it's upvoted by Curie, https://steemit.com/drawing/@art-huntress/special-post-100-followers-unbreakable-spirit-hand-drawing-25)

I will keep looking for more, but this post is also great to see your feedback on all the suggested links. Thank you for taking a time to do this.

First one seems like a plagiarism. Author's posting frequency suggests, author is posting someone else's work. Moreover, I can' verify the author. Second one, you are just wasting my and your time showing me that link. Idea of this process is for you to prove you can be a quality curator. Submitting posts that don't fit guidelines is a bad idea.

Yes, it was a bad idea, my mistake, I didn't investigate enough.
(as for the second one, I suggested one and only one post to Curie by the discord chat and was really happy to find it (1/1!) and it went through and wanted to share. But I do understand that is not the premise of this post (although you asked for 3 exceptional posts?), didn't know how strict you were - again, didn't do my research, sorry for posting it. I should have treat this post just as if I was to post it there. Also you mentioned you are looking for post what you find exceptional, I have no idea if the second one applies to your taste or if you think if it's curated by curie it has to be good or if the reason you wrote that I waste your time is because you would like to see posts no older than 24 hours. I would appretiate if you could clarify this. Thank you)

Great opportunity. I'd like to present this post, even though it's older than 24 hours. I was going to post this yesterday, but unfortunately my mind tends to forgot a few things once in a while, haha. Am I on the right track?

If it doesn't fit the guidelines I won't bother looking. Sorry. Try again.

Sure thing, no problem.

U5drua8NBFZCmukWVeNthBPhJurnCNT_1680x8400.jpg

here is a very important topic which everyone should know.
https://steemit.com/birthdefects/@patientmd/yes-you-can-prevent-birth-defects-here-s-how

@geekgirl hope you will see this

Same answer.

look for posts which are not written by you and which fit the guidelines, then submit. Don't submit your own post

I first learned about the curie when I got a vote from him. At that time I did not know whether the curie is a robot or a human. Now I begin to know who the curie is by reading posts from you. I will include 3 posts that you may be able to read

  1. Pertama Kali Travelling, Mendapat Berkah Pada Chow Kit yang Bermasalah (Part 6)

  2. Pertama Kali Travelling, Menguasai Chow Kit, Kamu Menguasai Malaysia (Part 7)

  3. Pertama Kali Travelling, Mengerti Rasa Cinta Tanah Air (Part 3)

Curators are usually the ones who appreciate someone else's work, and not the ones who promote their own work.

Oh I see..ok.. I will give another post that suitable with @curie guidelines

I still have a way to go, I'll keep an eye out for the next one ;)

Sounds good.

Hi @geekgirl, I apologize for my mistake sharing my self-promotion posting link. I am a videographer and documentary filmmaker in Aceh, Indonesia. Since getting to know steemit, and joining the Steemit Community of Indonesia Chapter Banda Aceh, I have helped the community to promote steemit to students and society. We promote it through Radio, Universities, and Writing Groups.

I also teach a lot of friends how to edit the video so that those who do not have the ability to write, can be creative through video. Here's my post that maybe this time can go into the criteria.

Thank You @geekgirl

  1. Promoting Steemit at Radio in Banda Aceh, Indonesia

  2. Documentary about Media and Steemit Community in Banda Aceh

  3. Video Meet Up Indonesian Steemit Community Chapter Banda Aceh

I have a question. As a curator can you send in your own posts or only other people's blogs? Also, can I link one of my posts that i think would fit @curie guidelines and is undervalued? Someone please respond to me. Thanks

Everything is explained in the post with links for additional information. No, you can't propose your own post. This post is for those who are interested in becoming curators, not for self promotion.

Hi @geekgirl and @curie thanks for the info. |

good post dear

The blog post is not for self promotions. Sorry, I won't look at self promoting posts.

How about this - not sure it's long enough but it's interesting, is the start of a series, calls for engagement and certainly very 'right on' ! It's mainly the quirky originality that I thought might catch people's attention.
