Advertising agents and PR people recite this wisdom like a mantra: Presentation is everything. Well, perhaps not everything. You still gotta have something worth presenting. But presentation (and publicity) can make the difference between a blog post -- or a movie, or a book -- that goes viral, becomes a blockbuster or hits the best-seller list and one that falls flat. A good presentation can also make the crucial difference between an audience that's willing to hang around and give you a chance ... and one that glances your way and moves on.
Our own resident expert @ethandsmith leads you step-by-step through this essential part of blogging on Steemit. This concise how-to-manual, full of knowledge, patience and generosity, takes you by the hand and shows you how to make your work visually shine.
Bookmark this post. Learn its wisdom until it's second-nature. It can help transform your work from a mediocrity to a masterpiece. Yes, first you gotta have the content ... but then you gotta show it off!
It can take longer to illustrate and format a post than it did to write it, but don't shirk this vital step on the road to glory.

Step into the Panda-torture room and read the transcript of Panda's interview with the awesome, the inimitable, the One True @Zeartul !!! He is a Dark templar. He is a powerful psionic warrior. He's also got this fearsome looking avatar running his PR for him.
But when he's not out being ... that, he's part of the consortium behind MSP. He's the guy who steps up when you want a sweet @bellyrub -- and he's your 81st Witness. (Applause, applause, applause.) Kind of a Superman/Clark Kent deal on the Dark Side.
If you want to know more ... click the link and watch where you step. I'm not ready to talk about what all went on in there. Some things are for your eyes only.

Before tonight, if I didn't count Sheldon Cooper, I could list the people I know who play D&D on the fingers of ... one finger. Rumor has it Catweasel played D&D in his misspent youth, where his standard character was a hapless, credulous cleric. (I thought this game was about role-playing, not type-casting.)
Anyway, @bwar is now my second known D&D fan. This essay is about his reconnecting with the game after some time away. But it's less about the game and more about the side benefits of friends and fun with his fellow players. (Somehow, the word "playmates" here sounds misleading.)
Evidently the game's popularity has endured through numerous versions and down through the decades, so I have to surmise there's something to it. Must be an acquired taste.
P.S. @bwar admits he's "a fairly large dude with a deep voice." But when he's in his D&D world, He's a woman! Nuff said.

It's hard to categorize this one. It's part history, part archaeology, part culture and science, part myth and legend. It's also part of a much longer series that unfolds like a documentary in text. So, if a trip dows the serpentine trails of Indonesia's past sounds like your next self-education project, step in here, find the links to the start of the series -- and make yourself at home.

Another story of games -- this one a card game called Treseta. But that's not the real story. It's more an allegory about attitude and luck ... and Karma.
(Personal note to @awakentolife -- I so believe in Karma. But watching how that guy would drop his cards on the table with every play, I wanted to wipe the floor with him, too. And I wasn't even part of the game. Commendable restraint.)
A "friendly" card game match with my teammates this afternoon. lol

This really isn't an essay. It's more of a promotion and recruitment page for @bambam808 , his professed love of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and League of Legends, and an invitation to join his gaming channel on Discord. Evidently gaming was today's theme. The week-end is coming up. The world is your oyster. If any of this lights your fire ... here you go.
