CURIOSITIES - Punch him

in curiosities •  6 years ago

Hello friends of Steemit, today we continue learning about Venezuelan expressions and now it is the turn of "throw him pigeon".

Formerly here in Venezuela the water was obtained from pumps or public fountains that had a sign which said "push on", to indicate that the lever had to be pushed to extract the liquid.

The expression was left to point to someone who had to work hard to get the water out by pulling on the lever.
