Organic farming is practised in approximately 100 countries of the world. The total area of organically managed land worldwide is around 23 million hectares. Worldwide there are approximately 398 804 organic farms. (International Federation of Agriculture Movements 2003).
Market signals, both domestic and international, indicate significant demand for organically produced product. By the year 2020 it is predicted that the world trade in organic products will be US$400 billion. However, whilst demand for organic products is high, particularly in export markets, the rate of farm conversion to organic agricultural systems is relatively slow. Currently only about one percent of Nigerian Farmers producers are involved in organic production and the area devoted to such production is only about 0.8 percent of total area farmed.Am also an Organic farmer and am here to give you some interesting fact in Organic Farming
1.Organic Farming yield more and consume more labour.

Organic farming typically requires 2.5 times more labor than conventional farming, but it yields 10 times the profit all thanks to its eco-friendly system of feeding the soil rich natural nutrients that encourages beneficial microbial activities which loosen the soil and also nurishes it.

2. The Largest Employer in the World.

40% of today’s global population works in agriculture, making it the single largest employer in the world. I don't think I need to explain further don't forget that the first thing God commanded Adam to do is Farming.

3.Irrigation System is an ancient knowledge.
The Mesopotamians built the first simple irrigation system around 7000 B.C. The earliest large-scale irrigation system was created around 4000 B.C. in southern Russia. This system had canals up to 10 feet across and more than a mile long.[9]

4. Organic farming synergize with the ecosystem.
Farmers often plant tall, dense trees on the edges of fruit farms. These trees provide a windbreak, which helps prevent soil erosion, it also helps to hold water in the ground :Agroforestry.

5.Bees contribute to more than $15 billion worth of crops every year through pollination

6.Organic farm produce had more nutrients than conventional farming produce so also is the soil.
Also Organic soil has more soil nutrients than the conventional one

7.Studies have shown that pesticide levels in children’s urine were significantly lower if they ate organic diets.
8. No Organic Fish.
There's no such thing as organic fish. QED

9.Synergized Way of Life
When disturbed by pest you can rely on the ecosystem of animals to prey on the other while elimininating that which you don't want by introducing it's predators, Hen is introduced in the farm on siteing ants, flies etc.

10.Using broken egg shells deters snails from farm Scattering papaya (paw paw) seeds in the farm deters ant 🐜 🐜 🐜 .All the amount of nutrients that a plant need can be find in the kitchen

Organic farming is the easiest method of growing crops

Easy? It's practically the hardest sir, I know what am saying, but the beauty there is the substanability and the good health and well being it's bringing to its consumers.
It's the safest way to farm, the interesting and the most demanding of all.

It's why I admire you all the more!
