Well yeah, if your electric is cheap and you build a custom 4-6 graphics card rig, you might clear a dollar or two a day based on this website readout. Assuming the market stays the same for the next 3+ years you can break even on the 2000+ dollars you spent in parts.In my experience, those websites will overestimate the reality of what you can actually expect to earn. And when you're working on a small margin like that you can easily end up in the negative.I might have simplified a bit, but in terms of earning power unless you've got some serious dough to throw around mining is a hobby and not a money earner for the little guys like us at the moment and it's been that way since a few months after dogeoin hit the scene.
