Currywurst, sauerkraut, chips and gherkins 🤤 did you make vegan currywurst or buy somewhere??!! I was not yet a vegetarian when I visited the currywurst museum and am dying to know about a vegan or veggie alternative!!!

For all those asking: Currywurst is a Berlin specialty. Basically a sausage covered in curried ketchup, typically served with fries. The traditional sauce doesn't really taste like curry at all but it's pretty tasty :)

No worries ^_^ I think it would actually be pretty easy to make - just look up a recipe for curry ketchup, and maybe drizzle it over a Beyond brat.

it wasn't hard for me to find at all. We went for a day trip and it was our mission to find some, but it was easy.

I lived in Berlin from 2009-2010, right before I went vegan, and I don't remember seeing vegan currywurst back then...but my impression is that it is quite easy to find in Thailand now!

I tried this from Curry & Co when I was in Dresden and it was incredible. I can't wait to try it again!

I had currywurst for the first time in Berlin also, when we went on honeymoon. A local restaurant serves it now, also hot cauliflower wings and "buttermilk" plant based strips, it's so yum!!

Definitely easy enough to make at home I reckon! I'm not sure what sausage they use but over her we have Beyond, Tofurky Beer Brats and "Like" smoked sausage would probably work well too.

I've found vegan currywurst and bratwursts at food trucks, in more recent years, too! It's so nice to be able to join in! Or not be stuck with a mushy vegetable burger or something 😂
