Yesterday many of us "little people" content creators on Youtube were told that we were being demonetized. My videos are also used on my CurseForge.com pages where I have many mods and modpacks hosted. I discovered that the editor supports the embed code but when you hit "submit" the article bot removes the embed code and so any video that doesn't come from Google official social media service will not be available to play for users. I asked for support of DTube and any other video service. In short they told me that if enough requests were made they would support the platform.
Therefore, I am asking all Steemit members to get on CurseForge and petitition them to add DTube support so that we can break away from the Oligarchy that is both Youtube and Google.
My Request

Can you guys add support for embedding videos from other video sources such as the site https://d.tube/?
I've begun switching my videos on Youtube to this other platform where I can still get monetization support. As you might be aware on January 17, 2018 Youtube implemented a policy change that cause Youtube Channels with less than 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of net watch time in a year to be completely demonetized. I was counting on them for a paltry $100/year, that is no longer the case. So I'm moving my video location.
I noticed that when I'm editing my modpack and mod pages that in the source editor I can include a full embed code from D.Tube and the player will appear in the editor and play the video. But when I save it, your bot removes the embed. That tells me your platform can easily play the video.
Considering that more and more of us will be fleeing the Youtube flotilla, it might be a good idea to allow playing videos from other platforms.
Thanks for your time and consideration in this matter,
Kreezxil

Hey there!
Unfortunately, this is pretty low on our priority list. We feel for Youtuber's and the changes being made, but Youtube is still the best and easiest video provider for us to support.
We will keep an eye on this, and if its something we get more requests about we will re-evaluate.
Sorry!
Thanks,
