Yep, still not at 2 so in a month. All that work? 15 minutes a day, tops, and that is two accounts - one for a friend who abandoned it after one week because the organic sales pitch is 100% a lie on Steemit. They really should stop saying that. Nothing organic here! But I am still hoping it works because if it has to become a second job using bots, exploring schemes, concentrating on how to get the most sbd out of each post, getting delegations from others, etc, people won't sign up or stick around because it will be cheesy and exhausting for social media - it will crash and burn when whales cash out and a better platform comes along. Minds really is superior in its plan and execution, but damn there are some freaky crazy Nazis all over it. That will kill it. Bigger social sites have gone away for smaller issues - like discontinuing a feature of changing layout. If it isn't enjoyable, even mediocre adoption will never happen.
The pitch here is so different from the reality that people already dont stick around and have a negative opinion, which can cause a problem for Steem going higher. I'm just here for the ride right now to see where it goes.
Sadly, 4 of the 5 people I liked when I first came in are already gone. Good posts but they abandoned it. They are back on Medium and getting tips, donations, synero, and other financial compensation I am not familiar with.
I promise to upvote your posts! I actually thought I did. Maybe there is a bot for auto voting?

You make a lot of good points. Maybe I will turn this into a blog post. Steemit is very hardcore if you want to make money and will probably only get WAY harder. I heard on Minds you can't cash out.
I'm pretty bullish on Steem and it seems like this platform was designed for me. :) It's a LOT of work though but hopefully it pays off in the end.
I've lost a couple of my favorite people. :( I think I might have been able to help raise one of them from the dead.
You ought to be able to make 1 or 2 blog posts just with the stuff you mentioned in your comments.
I usually like to trade upvotes but you seem to be one of those people who like high vote power and for some reason you won't sign up for @dustsweeper so I can't upvote your comments.
You can use https://steemvoter.com/ it's a bit tempting because it helps with curation but I think they steal like 1 vote a day from you so I won't sign up for it.

Steemit broke the rules of all forms of social interaction right out of the gate - easy and enjoyable. That will haunt it forever.
It comes across as an MLM scheme - like women in Utah all selling Lularoe on facebook, or old Amway. Smarmy. Gen Y and Z love crypto but hate smarmy and multi layer work for something that should be easy and fun. It would be like going on Facebook and all you see are people talking about how to be Facebook popular. Ugh. MySpace made that mistake, that and the backgrounds and graphics (you know my specialty is cultural history which includes social interactions.)
Steem will be fine if other, better, easier, and more enjoyable social media branches build on the blockchain - quickly. Steemit, not giving it much hope for 4 more years. I could be wrong. Steepshot is the only viable steem based platform I see at present. It is dreadfully boring though. An Instagram killer it is not.
Minds.com is dreadful. They are working out the best way to add crypto and payments. You can't cash out. I think they will have a good product but it may be dead on arrival due to early adopters. Lots of "Hitler was right, kill Jews and queers, go back to Africa, Wi-Fi turns you into liberal," and stuff like that. Good luck getting new users when the attacks are brutal.
so if I use dustsweeper I can't upvote people who don't use it? That sucks! I like to vote several new users who don't make much and won't have the money for it for weeks. I like upvoting them. New users are the ones I try to upvote.

Have you tried busy.org?
You don't know about the .02 payout threshold? All posts and comments below .02 do not get paid out so if I upvote your comments solo it is a wasted upvote unless you use @dustsweeper.

Yeah, i use Busy for seeing replies and stuff. The layout is good and less bothersome, but it has some major flaws. Sometimes i make the mistake of using it instead of Steemit for anything other than reading replies and seeing posts quickly. Their cut is one of the flaws unless they develop their own token based on Steem. That would help with adoption by many who don't want to think about every move but instead just post.
I will sign up for dustsweeper tomorrow because using kryptonia will require it with all the "dust votes" that accompany the task system. Like i said, steemit is too much like work! LOL.

Oh they do get a cut. I guess they often give a big upvote though.
Steemit is a lot of work but so can Facebook if you're on it a lot. I like sharing my opinions and trying to improve the world and my metrics are looking good so I think it is worth it for me to try and make a career out of this. I think our content is better than Facebook as well but for local stuff Facebook is still better.

I think the upvote from Busy is 1¢.
Have you tried Medium? Good audience numbers but you have to figure out ways to monetize. Synereo works with it but most seem to use other methods.

No. I don't want to try and figure out monetization. lol If I could do that I would stay on Facebook maybe.

Ok, i enrolled in dustsweeper. You will have to explain how i use it - i have to upvote your posts and comments, then i have to comment and upvote mine? This better not involve me buying lularoe leggings or amway vitamins.

If you're going to self upvote now you might want to do it after 30 minutes to get some extra curation rewards. Basically now when you or me or anyone else upvotes your comments their vote will count thanks to @dustsweeper. After like 5 or 6 days they come through and upvote your posts to put them over the threshold.
Now we can trade upvotes. :)
