Peucicap adalah Tradisi yang dilakukan pada bayi yang baru lahir, setelah umur bayi memasuki hari ke tujuh orang tua dan keluarga besar bayi melakukan tradisi peucicap dengan cara memanggil pemuka agama. Saat melakukan peucicap Bayi tersebut dicicipi beberapa buah-buahan yang rasanya manis, seperti apel, anggur, jeruk, kurma, alpukat dan lain-lain.

Pada saat bayi dicicipi buah yang manis tadi pemuka agama berbicara sama bayi dengan mengingatkan agar bayi bersifat manis kepada semua orang seperti manisnya buah tersebut.

Akhir acara Peucicap selanjutnya semua tamu dan keluarga besar melakukan doa bersama yang dipimpin oleh pemuka agama, berdoa kepada pencipta alam semesta, diberikan yang terbaik kepada bayi yang baru lahir keduani sekarang dan nanti, karena semua tidak akam terjadi tanpa takdir sang maha pencipta.
