An officer in Lahore condemned a man to six years in jail on Friday and forced a fine of Rs0.7 million for irritating and coercing a woman online.

The convict has additionally been request to pay Rs1 million in remuneration to the casualty — the spouse of a Pakistan Air Force officer living in Bahawalpur's Ahmedpur Sharqia.

Government Investigation Agency (FIA) Special Magistrate Imtiaz Ali Bajwa condemned one Usman Bin Masood ─ captured in 2017 ─ under Sections 20 (offenses against respect), 21 (offenses against unobtrusiveness) and 24 (digital stalking) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.

Masood was indicted for digital offenses which included carefully controlling the casualty's photographs, and in this way badgering and blackmailing her on social media.
