NEW SECURITY FLAW: All Intel CPUs vulnerable since they expose Kernel memory

in cybersecurity •  7 years ago

Seems like the entire Intel CPU series are vulnerable. Details are not yet fully disclosed but if the current infos are accurate this is a huge flaw which is being fixed now on the OS level (Linux, Windows). If true a simple javascript could read out data from the kernel space, which sometimes contain passwords, private keys and other sensitive information.
