Various rumours surrounding Team Sky's Geraint Thomas have sprung up over the past week, with most stating that the Welshman could be 'up-ing sticks' and be moving elsewhere from high-flying Team Sky.
Thomas could be set to leave at the end of the 2018 season to look to further establish himself as a marquee rider, and Grand Tour competitor; currently acting as a sort of 'super-domestique' to Team Sky's frontman Chris Froome.
His contract ends at the end of the 2018 season and he has commented already that he will sit down and listen to offers from any other teams willing to have him as a part of their project.
It has been reported that Trek-Segafredo has shown an interest in Geraint Thomas, and with Alberto Contador having officially retired at the end of the 2017 racing calendar, they would be perfect suitors for the talented Brit.
Geraint has clarified in interviews that he does not specifically 'want' to leave or that he is planning on, just that he is more than happy to see what other pro-cycling teams have to offer.
