Ive been working recently on an ep for myself to listen to to sharpen the swords and try out some styles and shit.
Have you ever read the book 'Think and Grow Rich'? the author talks about auto suggestion so ive been trying that in rhyme form to program my subconcious mind to develop beliefs to do with things im lacking, and cause myself to take actions to do things i want to in life.
but its turning out to be some really good music cuz its so personal so might continue this style in the rest of my music from now on!

That's really cool you got a book that's helping you 'reprogram' yourself ... I hadn't heard of that one, but I can imagine, anything that can help with bringing 'postive self-talk' must help. I'm conscious of negative self-talk but it still gets through to me a bit more than it should.
It's also great that it's inspiring you to put those themes into your music, passing the flame onto others, you might say.
Reminds me of something I heard called, 'The Hero's Journey' ...after you've been down in the cave, fought off the dragon, you bring the treasure back for all your people...

thanks man, yeah its all about reprogramming your subconscious with autosuggestion to instill a burning desire to achieve certain things, like make you want to do goals youve struggled with cuz when you want to do it your more likely to get it done!
Ive just made like 15 personal songs full of this autosuggestion to get it into my subconscious through repetition, just listening to it regularly hoping itll instill this desire, but what ive actually found is that these personal topics make for great music.
for me the dragon would be all my problems such as anxiety, depression etc thats stopping me getting the treasure which would be just being an absolute legend at all times, cuz then i can inspire people with my music thats true to myself and my life.
i get that negative self talk too but ive had it wile bad with schizophrenic voices insulting me, and after that just mild negative self talk doesnt have as much an impact cuz you think, it wasnt half as bad as the voices!
but things that stand in the way of you becoming who you want to be can fry your head,its all about working to defeat them once you know the info and techniques to do it are out there, its just a matter of researching and putting it into practice
the most inspirational thing ive found recently is that any problem you have can be overcome with the right info!! its out there man!
