Portugal has a huge coastline full of beautiful beaches both on the coast and inland. This is a small selection, there are much more worth visiting.
1 - Beaches of Porto Covo (Sines)
In bookstores Saraiva and Cultura
The hard part is choosing the beach. The best decision is to stay two weeks in one of the most beautiful Portuguese villages that is Porto Covo and discover the many wonderful beaches (some almost deserted) of transparent water.
Porto Covo is located in the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, in which they are different types of landscapes and habitats natural and semi-natural, such as cliffs and cliffs, beaches, several islets and reefs ( coral reef in Carrapateira), and much more.
2 - Camilo Beach (Lagos)
A huge staircase can scare off the weaker sunbathers, but when you look at the beach we think we can't be in Portugal.
A paradise beach with warm and transparent waters where you can observe various species of fish and spend a great day at the beach.
Amazing as it sounds, most bathers on this beach are foreigners.
3 - Murtinheira (Figueira da Foz)
A cold water beach with stunning beauty.
With the Serra da Boa Viagem as a backdrop and a blue sea on the horizon, it is a great beach for surfing and bodyboarding.
Near the hustle and bustle of Buarcos and Figueira da Foz, Murtinheira beach is usually quiet, even on hot summer days.
4 - Peach Island Beach (Sines)
Near Porto Covo, we find the beach of Pessegueiro Island, which also belongs to the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park. Overlooking the island, this area delights anyone.
Here too we can find small beaches among the often deserted cliffs.
In fact, there is no peach tree on the island, the name "Peach Tree" Island results from the Latin term piscatorius or epicardium, referring to the fishing activity that was developed there at the time of the Roman Empire.
5 - Portinho da Arrábida (Setúbal)
The fine white sand and the transparent and luminous waters set a fantastic contrast with the imposing austerity of Arrábida Mountain, belonging to the Arrábida Natural Park.
