Is Tariq Right On DACA Or Not? (I Say Yes he is)

Recently, some comments made by Tariq Nasheed on Twitter started a controversial discussion. He objected to a speech given concerning DACA during the Grammys.

Here is that Tweet

I’m no. This country was NOT “built” by Dreamers. It was built by the free labor of Black Americans who are still disrespected by white supremacists and immigrant groups who often exhibit the same anti-Black hatred. So chill with the alternate history https://t.co/yO1QgPqR4V

This was, in response to a 'comment' from a Latin Singer, with bias in her heart. The problem with what she said, is that she overlooks and discounts the contributions of Black Americans. It's an ongoing problem in this 'struggle' to make America a place that truly lives up to it's creed.

Her quote, is vastly ignorant, but 'did' garner applause from the audience.

"This country was built by dreamers for dreamers chasing the American dream. I’m here on this stage tonight because just like the dreamers my parents brought me to this country with nothing in their pockets but hope," singer Camila Cabello said - and Tariq, rightly responded.

Black people built America.

Black people are the ones who organized Civil Rights Movement organizations and Challenged this nation to change it's laws. When Hispanics come here and discount this Very real contribution to the rights they now enjoy, it puts a strain on our relationship.

Then, should we go deep enough into Hispanic culture, we will find Open Racism towards dark skinned Latinos. A culture that practices racism, cannot call America racist for wanting to deport them. This is how terms like racism get watered down, to where Real racism goes ignored.

Tariq on Ism Radio giving more of his thoughts; Discussing how DACA Dreamers have OPEN Contempt (dislike) For Black Americans -

Black people have a bad habit of not thinking things through. We are so quick to fight for groups that do not fight for us. Much of this is a natural result of the condition we've been put in, and yet we still must overcome it.

There are all sorts of 'comments' being made about this - but at the end of the day, Tariq is right. NO Daca deal, and NO wall either. I'm not going to support building a wall, b/c all that does is make sure blacks cannot get OUT of America. But to pretend that all struggles have been equal, is disrespectful, and disingenuous.
