Be Strong In The Lord!

I would like to begin the week right, by starting a daily devotional. I felt the need that I should nourish my soul each day, thus helping me to overcome daily trials in life. In our busy world, it's hard to stop and reflect for a while. It was always on my list but every time I tried, there are other things that keeps on stealing my attention. Though somehow these things aren't that important. So I decided to stick with a plan and what a better way to do a daily devotional here on steemit. I get to feed my heart and my soul and at the same time I get to share it with people who likes to do the same.

Today's devotional came from John Hagee Ministry .

Ephesians 6:10-11 —Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Have you ever felt that there are times you wanted to give up? We have different battles to fight each day. I believe that even the wealthiest and most powerful person on earth has his own battles to take. Many have problems with their marriage, family, health, financial, spiritual and so on. Each day, these problems drains us emotionally and physically. However when we decide to give up on anything and just let loose of everything, there is a surge of strength that automatically brings us back to the battle. I don't know about you, but to me each day is a "I give up " day. But every time I tried to, there's something that pushes me back to doing even if I don't know what might happen.

Each day is a test of faith, how are we going to face all the challenges that are up front. It is a decision that we have to make each day, to stay strong or get defeated. Sometimes, I realize that the enemy is ourselves because we cannot let go of certain things that is causing us harm and pain. As I grow, I realize that we need to choose our battles. It's hard though, when the childish in me would like to pick a fight with people that offend me, insult me or harm me. It's a discernment that I need to choose my battles, because not all battles are worth fighting for. Most of the times, it just consumes our energy and morale and yet nothing has change and we aren't moving forward.

Each day we need to put on the full Armour of God so we will be able to stand firm in the schemes of devil. Oftentimes, the schemes of the devil resides in our very own mind. It is necessary that everyday we feed our minds with good thoughts and most especially we have to nourish our soul with faith in God.
