STIR IT UP!

Have you ever felt your enthusiasm lost? In our busy lives, there are moments that we have not reflect on ourselves. There are too many responsibilities on our shoulders, that we tend to just perform our duty even though our hearts are not on it. I've seen a lot of graduates, licensed nurses, even med students went to work on a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company, for the reason that they are unable to work for their field of expertise. And the need to survive is more important, than what they would like to do. Probably, half of the people in the world are displaced in terms of their jobs, as opposed to their expertise. God asks us to contemplate on today's scriptures

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
2 Timothy 1:6 NKJV

We all have our dreams that God put in our hearts. When I was a child, I have this thought of putting up a foundation for less privilege children. I don't know why or how it crossed my mind, right from the very start. It keeps on popping and popping, in my mind every so often since then. It has been almost 30 years now, but that thought has not perished a bit. I really do not know how I am going to achieve that. Honestly, it is a huge thing if it can happen. Until now I still question why in the world it crossed my mind and never left? How am I going to fulfill that, if I have so much on my hands. That dream that God has placed in my heart would need money, time and effort. As of the moment, I don't have any of them.

This scripture though, when I saw it on one of my email subscription again relinquished that dream. I only thought of that right the very moment my I started composing this blog post. I'm amazed that after all these years, that dream has never been forgotten. And most likely God has reminded me to hold on to that, because one day it will come. Oftentimes, we need to stir up that dreams we used to have when we were young and everything was just too easy. Let's not forget, that even if we have been occupied by the travails of life, our dreams are yet to be fulfilled.

Our faith in God and the gifts that He blessed us with, are our armor to reach that dreams. Remember, God will not put something in our hearts He cannot fulfill. His promises are not meant to be broken. We just have to live with expectancy and faith that in due time all that He placed in our hearts and mind will come to pass, in HIS right TIME.
