so i caught a message on twitter last night that steem monster was live (it seems people have been playing since may — who knew) so i jumped in and boy oh boy is it addictive, it’s really well designed and i love the little in browser animations - great job everyone involved, really enjoying the experience and the fomo when you come up against a really strong recharging character is super real, really makes you think about the deck.
i presume that you’ll be able to purchase this as a card game at some point right because i’d love to play this with my daughter and dayle as a roundtable kinda thing — it’s pretty fire and straight forward, i mean i would say that because the game kinda autoplays itself or you can skip forward just to get to the results really quickly.
so yeah, i’ll be playing that more, looking forward to the ‘challenge’ tab, that’s a really good way for me to learn about the deck setup. the combinations of teams is actually more varied than i expected — once you select a summoner it reflects on how the rest of the team is configured from the different classes — i was really surprised how good the animation was in the browser as well.
. … secondly, after asking (and failing to get a response) at the weekend on account creation it appears that @emrebeyler has brought out a tool for creating accounts which uses your RC to make them, pretty neat, i’m interested in looking into that, that’s gonna be useful for me in the early stages of rolling out the amplify project — i’ve asked a question about it this morning from @emrebeyler so hoping he get’s back to me! :)
certainly gonna be looking in account curation more this week and see how much steem power i’m gonna need to load up on each week to build out ten accounts each week — i’m not gonna use my main account because i need that for blogging, posting and modding — i’ll probably use one of the accounts to build out the amplify project.
so it’s about 5k steem per account make. .
... I mean like as a rough figure from what I got back from @emrebeyler anyway (thanks man) — at least that gives me something to aim for, if I wanted to create one account a week would probably cost me around 5k of steem power, that’s a lot compared to paying out the 3 steem to make one so it’s probably best if I just pay out for them straight like that.
I’m not sure why but I presumed the ‘pool’ of account creation would be ‘bigger’ than that, i’m not sure why but in my head I saw like those with lots of steem power being able to create 100’s of accounts a week with their delegation — yet if it’s gonna impact the RC credits that could have a profound effect on the service itself, hmmm, not what I expected HF20 to be but I guess we DONT want people to be able to make accounts if they are not already invested in the ecosystem because then we end up with a cycle effect of lots of ALT accounts being made..
boys just over here trying to get 10 accounts a week made for outreach, willing to document that, surely there is an easier way, one thing I know know is that I have to build a separate account and power up the crap outta that so that it can just weekly cron job build and make accounts, store the details for them and then maybe package it in such a way that I drip feed a brand new user — maybe I could even use drip to do that on boarding.
At least I have some data now, feel like I’m a little bit of a step more ahead and that’s awesome.
