If you have read my previous post on #my20things, you would have known that I travelled back home. Back to Malaysia! Although I missed all the great fun gatherings and events hosted by #teammalaysia on that very Sunday, I managed to steal time to enjoy some of my favourite dishes with my friends.
Presenting to you, the Malaysian spicy and sour soup noodles, assam laksa. This bowl of noodles was fully loaded with fresh shallots, lettuce, coriander, chilli, cucumber and pineapple slices, shrimp paste and pieces of mackerel fish. Every mouthful of this dish was heaven to me, especially being away from its original and authentic flavours for months. The dish that will surely tease your taste buds with that slight hint of lime! Whenever I order asam laksa, I'll make sure I'll have a plate of extra prawn sauce at the side. It makes the whole dish to the next level of goodness! Hope you enjoyed it :)
