Even though the Lunar Chinese New Year has ended, we attended a Chinese Association Dinner and we were served with this Good Luck "Yu Sheng" tossing dish. I guess this would be our last one for 2018. What surprised me is that I could find this traditional dish in Perth.

The Association engaged a team of Lion Dancers to perform for us. This is a popular tradition performance as the loud music is supposed to drive the bad luck and evil away and welcome good fortune and good luck for their business or home.

The word on the Red Packet means Good Luck. You will notice that I have the middle Red Packet with the word facing down, different from the other two at the side. The inverted one means Good Luck come in.

I am sharing one of the dishes we had for dinner. This is a deep fried "Soon Hock" in superior soya sauce. This dish represents Prosperity and is known as Prosperity Fish and the sound means "everyday has enough".

It was well fried so it was very crispy and with the superior sauce, it went well with it.

Thanks for reading and supporting.
