One of the very important dishes during Chinese New Year is Lou Hei, it’s a dish that consists of carrots, radish all shredded finely. The gingers and other accompanying ingredients are dyed into many different colors.
The next step is to toss all the ingredients as high as you can while shouting ‘Huat ah’
At the end of the tossing, there is usually a big mess on the table. Like a saying, if there is no mess then there is no prosperity
