My sacred path to
spirituality lies
in loving what is

With a nod to @brokemancode's 30 Day Haiku Challenge, I've decided to make this a daily post, with all haiku posted under #dailyhaiku consisting of poems I've written especially to share on Steemit.

Everyone is welcome to join in, should they choose to do so, and I specifically invite those who have taken part in the #thirtydayhaikuchallenge and #ukiahhaiku to come along for the ride.

The image above is of an unknown wading bird - I think it was a small heron, but the lighting makes it pretty much impossible to tell for certain - sitting peacefully on the "DANGER - Do not feed or molest alligators" sign, in Taylor Park, Largo, Florida.

I know I used a Canon PowerShot digital camera, but I'm not certain which one, as I've had a few over the years.

Interestingly, in my mid-twenties I chose acceptance of whatever comes my way as part of my spiritual practice, and took a fair amount of crap about it from people who were a whole lot less happy than I was.

And now, years later, I've come full circle. Once again, I am choosing to accept what is, and to go further and love it, for no matter what comes my way, there is beauty and rightness in it, if I simply look deeply enough to really see clearly.

Thank you Srikumar Rao, Pedram Shojai, Ken Wilbur, Neale Donald Walsch, Byron Katie, and all the many other teachers I have had throughout my years on this wildly spinning planet. It's been a great ride so far.

All words and images are my own unless otherwise attributed.

Lovely image and haiku. Yes, there’s great wisdom in radical acceptance (of what is necessary) and then radical gratitude...

Stay blessed 🙏🏼

Thank you,@yahialababidi. I agree on both counts.
Blessings to you and yours as well.

seeking acceptence of what is is a great path. I guess i still some steps behind. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone's path is different. Embrace yours, be true to yourself, and you can't go wrong.

Life is wonderful and getting better and better. ;-)

Thanks for the advice. :)
