Improving Your Daily Health Score: A Starting Point for Healthier Drinking

in dailyhealthscore •  8 years ago  (edited)

This post suggests a reasonable daily goal for anyone struggling to drink healthy.

In order for The Daily Health Score to improve your health, you need your own clear interpretation of each of the 5 questions. Everyone will have different interpretations based on their own unique health goals. As you improve, your goals should evolve to keep pushing you in a healthier direction.

Suggested Goal for Healthier Drinking

(It doesn't have to be 6! Choose a number that makes sense for you. Don't hurt yourself drinking too much water!)

Don't worry about any other "bad" things you might drink! Just focus on getting 6 bottles of water down. As long as you drink those 6 bottles... you get a point. Once you've mastered that, you can advance to even healthier drinking goals.

Set positive goals, not negative ones.

It's a lot easier to take action, than to resist action. Trying to quit "bad" things often makes them worse because they're getting more of your attention. Focus on filling yourself up with "the good", and "the bad" will slowly get squeezed out!

Very good point take good steps, then the bad ones will go away.

How will this differ from the water portion in the other health challenge?
I love the look of that green smoothie. Tomorrow.....yum!

Hey @countrygirl, this post is just a suggestion for how to improve your Daily Health Score (the regular health challenge). It's a more in depth look into the question "Did you drink healthy?" This post is just one suggestion to help people break the question down and start to score higher.

oh, okay.....I get it. I don't have a problem drinking water. I like to add lemon or lime juice in mine to change things up a bit - but just found out from my dental hygenist that this isn't good for tooth enamel so I'll have to cut back. I also enjoy hot water with lemon in the morning and sometimes during the day. It's another good way, especially in the winter months to get your H20 intake.

I really enjoy your challenges to health.

i think it is more healthier to take the water warm every morning

I heard about that as well as drinking room temperature water, but I like my water either cold or hot - not in between.
