ⒶⒷⓇⒶⒽⒶⓂ - almost without exception 'successful' people had a rough beginning

You can say things like, "As I look at successful people, and by that I mean rich people, yes, and I mean happy people, and sometimes they’re rich and happy." But when I’m talking about the successful ones, what I really mean is the really happy people. People that are really joyful, that want to get up every day, that are eager to get into their day. Almost without exception, they had a pretty rough beginning, which turned them into a powerful rebel initially. And then they found a way to relax into their natural birthright of Well-being.

Photo & thoughts:

A communal area in our French village, overlooking the valley. I no longer think in terms of success, only happiness. Was not aware of this statement made by Abraham till now but looking back on my childhood I am very conscious of the strict boarding school at the age of 7 which led me to become a powerful rebel. I am left wondering however... what happens if children don't have that rough experience to turn them into rebels? Like my kids for example? Should I get a bit tougher on them with Abraham's words in mind???
