The Human Rights Implications for Palestinians of Israel Claiming Jerusalem Capital: Sarah Westall Interviews Christian Palestinian Educator

in dakini5d •  7 years ago  (edited)

January 1-- Once again, Sarah Westall tackles the difficult issues. Yesterday, Westall interviewed Dr. Mazin Qumsiyeh, a professor at Bethlehem University, a Palestinian who lived and taught in the United States for 30 years and who has since moved back to Palestine to work on behalf of the 12 million Palestinians currently displaced by Israel's political policies of forced migration of the Palestinian population.

Dr. Mazin Qumsiyeh provides a critical perspective as a Christian, a Palestinian and an activist, that furthers our understanding of the decades long conflict in the middle east and in Israel's domination of Palestine.

Thank you for visiting my post, Stemians. The issue of Israel claiming Jerusalem as it's capital is a complicated one. Palestinians comprise 50% of the population and suffer enormous Human Right's abuses under Israeli occupation. Let's let President Trump know that we support equal rights for Palestinians, equal access to freedom of movement and let's demand a peaceful resolution to this ongoing humanitarian crisis: Tweet to @potus
