A student was forced to leave Dalton — the private school that counts Chevy Chase, Anderson Cooper, Claire Danes and Christian Slater among its former students — after posting racist images and words on social media.

The East 89th Street school’s administration sent a letter out to parents, saying, “Dalton has no tolerance for disrespectful, profane actions . . . We take these incidents very seriously and act quickly and decisively to address them.”

A school spokesman wouldn’t say the unnamed boy had been expelled but said, “He is no longer at the school.”

The entire high school had a meeting “to address messages of this nature as well as the use of social media.”

One parent said, “The timing had people especially concerned because this is when parents are deciding where to apply to send their children to school.”

Dalton is also in the midst of its Raise the Roof centennial campaign to raise $100 million for the school’s expansion.
