Collection 05: Damtoys MindGame Sacker - The Sewer Soldiers Figure

Damtoys is a Hong Kong / China 1:6 scale toy company that mainly design their own figures based on their own series. The most famous series are their Gangster Kingdom series (Cartoon-ish design figures based on famous movie stars), and their elite series (High-end military figures). But this time I am introducing the figure from their new series MindGame.

Sacker is their 2nd release of the MindGame series. Below is the introduction of this character:

People were hiding under the shades of trees from the burning sunlight. But at the open wild of YD, they’re no such shade place for you to rest. The climate was stifling even at night. However, a team of players had survived, even more, they had occupied the border of this wasteland YD since the beginning of MindGame v2.5.

They dug the underground tunnels like gophers, assaulted these lonely players with their “big chunk of metal” in close range. They were called “the Sewer Soldiers”.

Sacker had long forgotten his name, because of taking “Krokodil”- a cheap drugs synthetic from fuel for living in the sewers, as the result their limbs been ulcerated, many of them had to replace their body parts. They dragged the heavy battering rams wandering in the dark tunnels, looking for travelers for materials and credits for drugs. The Committee warned Gobi Team of these shadowy madmen, their assault in close range ignores any defense.

I am totally sold on this horrific rat skull helmet design. The face mask and the helmet are a separate piece, which is being held with a magnet. You can choose to partially open the face mask to expose Sacker's face. There is a bib hood included in the figure to avoid paint scratch while putting on the helmet. The scars, deep eye-bags, dry thick lips, yellowish skin tone, the sadness in his eyes on the head sculpt of Sacker reflects the background of the character perfectly.

There are some assembling required on this figure. You will need to put on the back / chest pack onto the figure yourself. There are laces on both side of the chest pack, you just need to untied it and retie it onto the figure. It takes a bit of time, but it is not difficult to put on at all. Also, the steam battering ram will need to put into the back pack hose. The figure can only lift up the battering ram with both hands. Because of the weight and the hose, posing is very limited with the battering ram.

I am very impressed with this new series of Damtoys. Not only the design is unique & cool! Damtoys also takes care of every layer of this figure from head to toe. For the head, head sculpt -> bib hood -> rat helmet -> removable skull mask. For the body, 1/6 body -> filer underwear -> tactical vest -> wired windbreaker -> Chest / backpack. For accessories, 4 interchangeable mechanical hands, steam battering ram, and a diorama base with metal name tag etc. Recommended for designer figure collectors!
