Rashad Jennings Leads at Dancing With The Stars Finale
Rashad Jennings, 32, pro-footballer will feel ecstatic with his performance along with his partner Emma Slater at the Finale performance in “Dancing With The Stars.” Both Emma and Rashad nailed it completely with getting full marks for their terrific performance. The full score means Rashad becomes a clear favourite for the Mirrorball Trophy at DWTS. They have put in a performance to remember and by far, Rashad’s best performance in the show. The other finalists, David Ross with Lindsay Arnold and NormaniKordei with Valentin Chmerkovskiy put up tremendous performances to set the mood of the show as well as raise the bar for dancing in the Finale.
All teams were supposed to perform two different numbers, one redemption dance and the other, freestyle. At the Finale, they will be performing a fusion number, that too, prepared in under 24 hours.
David and Lindsay started off their redemption round on “Let’s Hurt Tonight”, OneRepublic. They scored a good 33 out of the 40 available and set the tone of the show. Normani and Valentin followed suit and danced to the tune of “Check it Out”, Oh The Larceny. Their electric performance was well received by the audience and the judges. Bruno, the judge, screamed out loud and adjudged the performance to be SMOKIN’ and brilliant. Bruno and Carrie Ann gave the performance a perfect 10. The duo scored a hefty 38 out of 40 in the Finale.
The last performance was of Rashad and Emma. They danced on “Dark Times”, The Weeknd ft. Ed Sheeran. They both sizzled together by packing a solid punch on the other finalists. Rashad proved his mettle and silenced the judges altogether. The judges were left aghast by his performance and the level of improvement on Rashad. The duo had a sensuous chemistry amongst them and it earned them the golden number, 40/40.
Round two saw David and Lindsay take on “It Takes Two” by Rob Base & DJ EZ and gave out an electrifying act. The baseball themed dance was too much to handle for the judges, who were compelled to give them a full 40. Now that’s what you call competition.
Normani and Valentin came in next with a freestyle performance on “What The World Needs Now Is Love”, Andra Day. It was a beautiful performance put together, without messing the creativity of the same. Bruno was happy and saw an angelic performance by them. They also scored 40/40. The competition just got tougher.
To give it a final shot for the Finals, Rashad and Emma chose “Let’s Go/Uptown Funk”, Medley by Drumline and Mark Bronson. The performance completely rocked the stage and the judges and spectators were “blown away”. There were a few hits and misses in their performance, but the force with which they continued on the stage compelled the judges to give it a pass. They went away with a full score again, giving them a much needed boost ahead of the Finals.
It is all open at the Dancing With The Stars 24th Season, with finalists fighting it out for the Mirrorball Trophy.
