This is my beautiful niece, Amelia. I have two nieces and two nephews in total. Amelia is the third child of four. The age range from youngest to oldest is as follows: ten, seven, four (Amelia) and 1.
Amelia had a dance recital yesterday at a local high school. Family and friends of all the little dancers gathered in the auditorium to watch as the children danced their little hearts away. It was really something quite special, especially since the students and teachers put so much time and effort into preparing for the act!
The little girls and boys were so animated with their roles, it just brought a smile to my face. You could feel the energy radiate throughout, as mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles watched their little ones dance to the music.
It excites me even more for the day that I will have my own child to watch grow up and do the things they have a passion for. I cannot wait to continue to watch my little nieces and nephews grow up and eventually have a little one of my own running around. But I know this won’t be for some time yet, as I have to first figure out how to take care of myself and others around me.
Hopefully one day I will be ready to take on the responsibility to care for a child on my own
