D&Done

Quit my D&D group today. Monday is the hardest day for me to go and I always end up changing or cancelling plans in order to be able to play D&D, only to have people cancel on me at the last minute. Our group has been losing momentum the past few months and really I think this is for the best.

I'm going to look for a group that can play on a different night and hopefully will be a bit more dedicated. I still need D&D in my life just under better circumstances.

Do you play live or online? I have never played but I would love to get into it.

I like to play live. I find it harder to connect with everyone when playing online.

I've never actually played D&D (as this isn't really a "thing" where I live) but always really wanted to!
I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (just made one about 1998) and it's fun to see how tons of games are inspired by D&D.

The D&D influence is quite vast even if some people don't realize it. We don't have games liek Skrim without first having D&D.

I have tried to run games on Monday nights and discovered the same thing, Monday's just don't work well for this.

We did well for quite a while but the last few months the excuses for not coming seem to come easier and easier to people. It's unfortunate but I'm confident that I will find a new group and have already had people messaging me about it. I just know moving forward, I don't want to be the DM!

Good luck in finding a new group, and a night that works better.
