Children who use a mobile phone absorb a dangerous amount of microwave radiation that is up to ten times as high as in adult users and at least twice as high as the official safe limit. Compared to adults, children absorb twice as much radiation in their heads, three times as much in the brain regions around the hippocampus and the hypothalamus and ten times as much in the bone marrow.

The researchers who discovered this are connected to the American Environmental Health Trust, a social organization that now calls on the government to set a new standard for safe radiation doses. This should then be based on body size and take into account the fact that children also use mobile phones. According to the researchers, children are currently exposed to radiation doses that are twice as high as the safe upper limit set by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
