DApp Application - From Loom Network

So I've been curious as I'm sure many people are about real-world applications of decentralized examples of blockchain-based solutions and I found an interesting site.

If you're like me and interested in learning Solidity to write Ethereum contracts, you've probably stumbled upon Cryptozombies.io - a really nifty site that teaches you the basics of Solidty a la an online sandbox environment very similar to Code Academy. The course revolves around creating a fighting zombie game, where zombies developed from unique DNA can fight and be created, similar to Crypto-Kitties. Its a great tutorial and game.

Well, the same company that brought Cryptozombies to the world, just launched DelegateCall.com. This is as they state the First Fully Blockchain-based Q&A Site that lets users:

On DelegateCall, users earn karma points when their questions and answers get upvoted. But unlike traditional Web 2.0 sites, on DelegateCall these karma points can be redeemed for a tradable ERC-20 “DelegateCall token” on Ethereum mainnet, allowing users to earn rewards proportional to their contributions to the site.

And interestingly, the entire site relies on an actual Ethereum contract:

At its core, DelegateCall runs entirely on a Loom Network DAppChain, which consists of a standalone blockchain that is bonded to an Ethereum smart contract via a Relay.

So essentially, its StackOverflow but with the ability to earn 'Karma' that translates into actual crypto-coins--

Karma points are an internal point system that users get when their questions/answers are upvoted and accepted. These points can then be redeemed for a tradable ERC-20 “DelegateCall token” on Ethereum mainnet.

By answering questions, folks can earn real world money. Depending of course on the market demand for the currency. In addition to karma, you can also purchase the Loom Membership token -- which is currently listed on Kucoin and allows you to transfer Loom digital assets between their own private chain and the main ethereum network:

The token acts like a software license key. It’s implemented as an ERC20 token on Ethereum, which you hold in your Ethereum wallet.

When you attempt an asset transfer from a Loom DAppChain to Ethereum (or to another DAppChain) the DApp first checks the LOOM token balance of your wallet. If you have at least 1 token in your possession, you can proceed with the asset transfer. If not, you’ll need to purchase a token before you’ll be allowed to transfer data between chains.

It's actually pretty cool seeing how DApps are starting to be implemented and how they might possibly be incorporated with blockchain and exchanges-- what do you think? Loom token sound interesting?
