I have been thinking about the mobile Dapp @wherein which is built using the Steem block chain. This Dapp is for the Chinese community and is their entrance route to Steem. The Chinese internet is so different to the rest of the world.What we have to understand is that the internet is accessed mainly by mobile in China. The Chinese as a group are technological savvy and having a new mobile Dapp allowing for something different, will be a big hit.
We have to understand the restrictions as China has a Great Firewall or as others call it the Great wall of China. This has been designed to block access to selective foreign websites and to slow down cross border internet traffic.
If you live in China you have no Google,Twitter,Facebook,Instagram,Youtube and a few others. China has their own variations which are patrolled by an estimated 100 000 people employed by the government to make sure the public obeys the rules. Censorship is a big thing and hope that @wherein can comply with what is required.
Yes Steem has users which have been banned on Youtube and Facebook and see this as the only outlet that they can do their thing. @wherein will most likely have to do things slightly differently as surely the Chinese government would like to know which users are which on an international site like Steem. Luckily we haven't needed to do that as the majority of users on Steem are anonymous.
I am hopeful that @wherein can get this right and I am sure they will by working closely with @oracle-d. This is very important to the Steem blockchain going forward as opening up a country the size of China would really change the platform.
Hopefully @wherein can be added to the existing apps that are currently allowed in China.
In 2017 Steem was ranked the top block chain for technology pipping Euthereum and we have developed and moved forward since then. With China accepting and on boarding through @wherein I am sure we would see developments gather pace at a massive rate. Steem has so much to offer and is like a blank canvas and with a hungry Chinese public looking for something different there is a bright future. Knowing that they can earn crypto from writing and an expected SMT linked to this Dapp the world is your oyster as far as I am concerned. We should all be supporting these initiatives as this is the future of Steem.

Yes, there are many challenges and opportunities. Steem is a project that truly applies blockchain technology to its applications, just like Bitcoin. China needs such a project, and we bring it to China through WhereIn.
