Dark Wave Unveiled - The Soft Moon, Wasting

in darkwave •  6 years ago  (edited)

In case anybody thought this was going to be just a nostalgia trip down the dark corridors of the 1980s, let me puncture that assumption right here, right now.

The Soft Moon was originally a solo project started by Luis Vasquez in 2009. It has since grown into a contemporary darkwave band and, as of writing, are touring China, Taiwan and Japan.

The track Wasting comes from their third album, Deeper (2015).

The influences are many, with hints of the Cure, the Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and even some synth sounds from John Foxx.

If you enjoyed this, then head over to The Soft Moon's website for more videos and info.
