Darkweb market Trade Route just exit scammed with at least $9 million worth of Bitcoins

As reported today by DeepDotWeb, one of the most popular Darkweb markets Trade Route has officially exit scammed following a major security leak.

Weeks before the darknet market DDoS attacks began, TradeRoute Market arranged weekly payments with an infamous darknet marketplace phisher known as “Phishkingz.” In a conversation with DeepDotWeb about two days before Traderoute went down, Phishkingz revealed that he had found a way to access code from the marketplace’s admin backend. In recent days, Trade Route's official reddit page has been plagued by posts blackmailing Trade Route admins from "Phishkingz", currently going by the handle "mandemsweet". However, notably no sensitive data has yet been released, with Phishkingz claiming:

"To all vendors and buyers your info is safe with me. This was never your problem so I will not bring any harm to you and will delete the entire messaging system from the data I have..."

Amongst these posts a wallet address has been highlighted that the phisher discovered in the admin's backend. Many of these posts have since been deleted by the page's moderator, such as this one uncovering millions of dollars worth of bitcoins, although is still indexed.

The wallet address since Trade Route went down on October 13th has received 1,577 BTC (nearly $9m) with suspiciously 1,760 BTC ($10m) received days before it's take down. In total the address has received a whopping 80,623 BTC worth over $450 million.

Phishkingz, who will be known as the phisher who shutdown Trade Route, claims they “dominated the phishing scene on the darkweb” and since yesterday has moved onto Dream Market. The phisher began attacks targetting AlphaBay last year, that before closing down in July, had generated $1m revenue from user account phishing.
