First up- borsch. This is a sour soup. Yum. Maybe I will learn how to make it, or maybe I'll leave it to the Russians and I will just enjoy it. Yum. So borsch is a sour soup and it has sauerkraut , lots of veggies, beets etc. I am a big foodie so I enjoy trying different things but I am also a very picky eater.
When we went to the restaurant, we were the only ones there. J was being funny and said he reserved the whole restaurant for me. By the time we finished eating dinner, still no one showed up so it was really nice.
We also got another appetizer ( see below picture) which I forgot what they are called, but they tasted really good and garlicy. Yum yum I love garlic. We later found these in the store for purchase , and I am going to buy some for home and save some $.
The exterior of these garlic/ meat balls were hard. You had a choice between ordering them fried or boiled and we chose fried, but it's good to know we have options.
.
Next it was our entrees.
This was my choice. Pork schnitzel. They did a really good job pounding on this meat and it was really good. The fries were amazing. They were dark , but they were soft. I think they had them under a dish or something to make them soft. By the way, my mom makes the best french fries in the entire universe. I will post about this soon, when I go home and visit and you will agree with me.
J chose liver entree. I am not a huge fan of liver in general unless it's liver pate. I gave it a try and it wasn't bad.
Overall we would recommend this restaurant. It's called Ararat and it's in Orlando, Florida. It's an Eastern European Cuisine.
They are not paying me to advertise them but yet here I am. You're welcome Ararat.
