For 20 years the spacecraft Cassini has studied Saturn and its moons from very close and the first results are finally being published. Last September, the mission ended with the spacecraft entering the atmosphere of the planet, gathering and sending to us valuable data about the composition of the giant and of its rings before being destroyed.

TheAgenzia Spaziale Italiana held a press conference where they explained how the spacecraft has observed the fundamental differences between Saturn and Giove, that now appear more like cousins rather than brothers. An important discovery was the one regarding Saturn's rings. In fact, they appear to be only one billion years old, thus Saturn, which is about 4.5 Billion years old, was naked beforehand. In un convegno organizzato dall’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana è stato spiegato come la sonda abbia rivelato la fondamentale differenza tra Saturno e Giove, che ora ci appaiono più come cugini che come fratelli. Uno scoperta importante è stata proprio quella riguardante gli anelli, che non sarebbero più vecchi di un miliardo di anni; prima di questo periodo, quindi, Saturno era nudo.
