Danakil Reggae French Band

Hello friends, happy night.

As we all know Reggae was born in the late 60s as a cultural expression in Jamaica. It has been one of the musical genres that has best expanded across all continents of the world to the present day. In the mid-70s, this musical style made its triumphant entry into France despite being managed in closed spaces.

It currently represents one of the most important markets not only in Europe but in the world.

Today I am going to talk about an exquisite French reggae band called Danakil.
A reggae activist band that emerged in 2000.
His musical style is Reggae Roots, that is, the combination of ska and rocksteady, his lyrics are based on a deep humanism, his musical speeches are focused on being realistic and they face situations as they really are.

This French band was created by music students of the University "Louis de Broglie" in Marly-le-Roi, near Paris
The name Danakil found from the Ethiopian desert.

Das - Saxophone
Tom-Tom - Trumpet
Big Keuj - Trombone

This band has participated in French reggae events: stories like: Sun Ska and No Logo, and also at the Festival du Bout du Monde, the Montjoux Festival, the Festival du Chien à Plumes, the Fête de L'Huma de Paris, Live in Tignes ...

and they have stood out in several international events, one of them representing the Abi Reggae festival, which is the largest festival in Africa.

Today I am going to share some successes of this musical group:
Danakil - Marley

until a new opportunity dear friends I hope you enjoy this music of French roots
inspired by the current realities of life
difficult inequalities in Africa, hypocrisy of politicians, environmental problems, freedom of people among other topics ..
