Have you ever been given a "tag" because of your name, your origin, your family, your level of education ...? Sometimes, the mere fact of being different from others can have a huge influence on our lives.
Take off the labels you have been placed!
In those moments, we can begin to think that we are really useless, even ridiculous. To the extent that people despise you, your self-esteem is also affected.
If you have ever been given one of these labels, I would like to exhort you with these thoughts. I want them to help you change your life, to be more aware of your true identity in Christ!
Keep these 3 truths:
You are not what others say you are: If you are a child of God, you are also His heir, and you are consistent with Christ:
“And if children, also heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if we suffer together with him, so that together with him we may be glorified ”
Romans 8:17.
You have an incalculable value:
“So if anyone is in Christ, new creature is; old things happened; Behold, all are made new ”2 Corinthians 5:17.
God has bought you for a very high price: that of the life of his only Son, Jesus! You are beautiful in his eyes!
Your past does not determine your future. God has freed you from your old life, and invites you now to put into practice the good works that he has prepared in advance for you.
Because we are his work, raised in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared for us to walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
I encourage you, dear friend, to tear off that liar tag from your forehead, and to let God put his seal on you.
And the one who confirms us with you in Christ, and the one who anointed us, is God;
2 Corinthians 1:21.
You are a child of God! Declare it! He loves you!
