  1. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Supergirl versus the forces of the dark dimension known as Apokolips. Interested? You should be because this movie features the iconic Kevin Conroy voicing Batman once again and Tim Daly returning to the role of Superman. Despite a very different and sometimes bizarre artstyle, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse gives us a damn good origin to Supergirl as well as a fun adventure with some astonishing action scenes to watch. Come for the iconic voice actors, stay for everything else!

  1. Justice League: Doom

Batman is always prepare for the worst but what if a villain discovered his contingency plans for the League? Well you get a darker but very unique Justice League story. Great dialogue, great action, a great villain, and a great story to watch. I highly recommend it.

  1. All-Star Superman

For those who want a bit more Superman in their story, All-Star Superman is one of the best things to feature the Man of Steel due to it's amazing understanding of character, mix of darkness and light for it's tone, superb dialogue, and some twists and turns that will shock anyone. If you're looking for a perfect Superman story, this one is for you.

  1. Batman: Under the Red Hood

On the other hand, maybe you want to wet your palette with some of the Dark Knight Detective, well look no further because in my opinion the best one is Under the Red Hood. While it does have some great action set pieces, it's a very character driven story showing Bruce Wayne's love and care for the Robins and how he deals with the loss of one. Combine that with new but great voice actors for the roles of Batman and Joker, you have yourselves the making of a classic.

  1. Justice League: A New Frontier

Heroes. Villains. Action. Suspense. Humor. Horror. Fun. Everything you want in a superhero film is here: written by the late Darwyn Cooke, this movie has an all-star cast combined with a perfect tone and pace. There's not much more I can say: I cannot recommend it enough because to me, it is still the best Justice League animated film to date.
