As you can see from the list above, there are several key websites and services that have been affected.
How was this done
As most people know, it would take an enormous amount of resources to attack so many websites and services individually. What these hackers did was attack a major DNS host which translates Domain names to IP Addresses in order to route users to specific websites.
The question right now is, Is this just the beginning? and also who is behind it? Agencies believe that "this is too large scale for an organized group of hackers and feels that large nation states are behind it." Could this be the start of the end for the internet as we know it?
