How was this done

As most people know, it would take an enormous amount of resources to attack so many websites and services individually. What these hackers did was attack a major DNS host which translates Domain names to IP Addresses in order to route users to specific websites.

The question right now is, Is this just the beginning? and also who is behind it? Agencies believe that "this is too large scale for an organized group of hackers and feels that large nation states are behind it." Could this be the start of the end for the internet as we know it?

can we prevent such a thing for steemit.com?

a lot of those sites could go down permanently and humanity would be better for it.

let's all migrate to zeronet!

Woot!!

Could it be possible that it because of the turning over of (what was the name of that) to the United Nations?
