The Meeting Point of the Winds in Mallorca - Der Treffpunkt der Winde auf Mallorca

Hello everybody,

Unfortunately, there is not only a very crazy and narrowed street in Mallorca that leads to the destination. The way to the eastern end of the island on Mallorca did not make the trip easy either. And I still had my sister with vertigo in tow. You can imagine what that was for a ride;).

It went to the Cap de Formentor. The northernmost point of the Balearic Island. The inhabitants here on the island call this place also the meeting place of the winds.

A beautiful landscape

The ride was really very steep and narrow again. The view, however, was outstanding. The outstanding rock walls and the crystal blue waters are beautiful. The cliff of Formender is at its highest point at 384 meters above sea level.

Again not a easy way for me to drive :)

Wonderful

I would personally arrive very early in the morning, then not so much going on. We left already around 8 o'clock in the morning and already met a lot of people there. At the end, at Cap de Formentor (lighthouse), the view was simply breathtaking. At the height there were even goats on the way, who just walked around and showed no fear. That was really funny.

The lighthouse is really worth seeing. Around 200 workers worked under difficult conditions from 1860 to 1862 on this beautiful building. Personally, I could not imagine doing that at height and then driving the narrow streets every time. I already get goose bumps at the thought. But not only the Cap of the Formentor and the steep coasts are worth seeing in the corner.

Deutsch / The Same in German

Hallo zusammen,

leider gibt es nicht nur eine sehr verrückte und verengte Straße auf Mallorca, die zum Ziel führt. Der Weg Richtung dem östliche Ende der Insel auf Mallorca machte uns die Fahrt ebenfalls nicht einfach. Und ich hatte noch meine Schwester mit Höhenangst im Schlepptau. Ihr könnt euch vorstellen, was das für eine Fahrt war ;).

Es ging zum Cap de Formentor. Der nördlichste Punkt der Baleareninsel. Die Einwohner hier auf der Insel nennen diesen Ort auch den Treffpunkt der Winde.

Eine wunderschöne Landschaft

Die Fahrt dahin war wirklich wieder sehr steil und eng. Der Ausblick jedoch war überragend. Die herausragenden Felsenwände und das kristallblaue Wasser sind wunderschön. Die Steilküste von Formender liegt an ihrem höchsten Punkt bei 384 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel.

War wieder mal nicht einfach ;)

Atemberaubend schön

Ich würde persönlich sehr früh am Morgen anreisen, dann ist noch nicht soviel los. Wir sind bereits gegen 8 Uhr Morgens losgefahren und haben schon dort sehr viele Menschen angetroffen. Am Ende angelangt, beim Cap de Formentor (Leuchtturm) war die Aussicht einfach atemberaubend. Auf der Höhe waren sogar Ziegen unterwegs, die einfach rumspaziert sind und keine Scheu zeigten. Das war echt lustig gewesen.

Da hat jemand Hunger

Recht abenteuerlustig die kleine ;)

Der Leuchtturm ist wirklich sehenswert. Um die 200 Arbeiter haben unter schwierigsten Bedingungen von 1860 bis 1862 an diesem wunderschönen Bauwerk gearbeitet. Ich persönlich könnte mir das nicht vorstellen, in der Höhe etwas anzufertigen und dann auch noch jedes mal die engen Straßen zu fahren. Ich kriege bei dem Gedanken jetzt schon Gänsehaut. Aber nicht nur der Cap der Formentor sowie die steilen Küsten sind in der Ecke sehenswert.
