For those who don't know American Sign Language (ASL), here's the English version of the vlog:
Today has been a very productive day. The highlight was the process of making adjustments for all of us. We went through the scripts to follow and figure out when I can jump in to say my lines. There are some parts where I’ll be signing and other parts where I’ll be speaking. Lipreading everyone was exhausting for me. It also made it a challenge for myself to keep up with everyone when I’m already exhausted. As we went on, we had visual cues up and this was extremely helpful for me to know when my part is coming up. I felt this was effective for everyone I was working with.
It’s been a positive progress and it felt good! I started to feel confident. Got the feel and felt the rhythm. Now, I understand people who have mentored me and other performers were telling me that I will feel it when we start doing our parts. I felt the rhythm, timing and everything with my parts along with everyone else’s. Everything started to click. I have said this already but I started to feel confident doing our parts with everyone.
Today was great. A very progressive process for us. My confidence in my part started to build up at the rehearsal today. Looking forward to more of this tomorrow and in the next few days!
