Hi @goldendawne I am very new to Steemit, only a couple of weeks old. I carve sculptures out of Oamaru Stone and would like to start an initiative where people give me their ideas of what they want me to carve next and whichever one I choose gets a prize. Can you give me some advice on how to achieve this. I don’t have much Steem or sp so I imagine I need to get that increased to be able to offer a prize but am finding it very difficult to achieve. Is it just too early for me to consider this. I made a post asking for suggestions but got none. That post is at this link

And my whole blog is at this link

I would really appreciate your advice

Hi Mark!
Ok I went to the specific post you gave above with the cup/saucer.

  • where did you come up with the tag "travelcontinuously"? Unknown or ones you make yourself sometimes can be harder for people to find. Tagging your post can be crucial to get traffic to your page. I would have tagged this post with: busy, art, diy, photography and minnowsupport or bescouted (see below)
  • Maybe add into the post what the history is of Oamura sculptures and how you started making them (which could be a great post itself)
  • maybe post a few pics first of you making the next sculpture and explaning your process
  • finally since you are creating original images, maybe start tagging some of your sculpture images into photography contests. Every day there are dozens and dozens of specific photo contests on steemit.

here are some contests and check out this page- they have contests for photography all the time @bescouted

Thanks for taking the time to view my post @goldendawne. I appreciate your advice. The travelcontinuously tag was for a competition but I’m not sure if the competition has really gone anywhere. I definitely plan on documenting the next Sculpture I make but am trying to get enough sbd to offer a prize to the person who comes up with the suggestion for what I should carve next that I like the best. I’m also going to repeat the cracked egg inside the Pyramid experiment to show people that Pyramid power is true. I will also take lots of photos of that and maybe a video. Thanks also for the links. :-)

You're very welcome!

In regards to your contest- please check your wallet and message there.
Have your contest and GOOD LUCK! Let me know when the contest post is up!

Thanks very very much @goldendawne I’ll be sure to let you know when the contest is live. You’ve made me very happy!

I am a firm believer in paying it forward. I would hate to have you sitting idle when you could be creating a great post, having a contest and showing people your talent just because you need to wait.

Just pay it forward yourself when you are able to. That's all I ever ask of people.

I will definitely be doing that @goldendawne and you have certainly given me a boost and not just to my wallet

Steemit is all about support to me. Whether UPvotes, comments, feedback or as I did here.
Good Luck!!

Thanks @goldendawne, this is also how I feel. I wish I could upvote you right now but as I’ve been upvoting too much my upvotes are worth nothing, not even 1 cent. My power was at 38% yesterday so I need to keep my finger off the upvote button for a couple of days so my vote is actually worth something. I only recently found out about how upvotes take up 2% of my voting power so I’ll have to keep an eye on it from here on in. You can be sure though that once it has recharged, I will be supporting you as well. Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful day! :-)
