Today marks the six year anniversary of the death of Ryan Dunn.

Ryan Dunn was known most for his role in the popular TV series Jackass.

On June 20, 2011, Ryan Dunn was driving with a friend, Zachary Hartwell. Hartwell was ex-military Navy and was a production assistant on the second Jackass movie.

Ryan drove his Porsche 911 at speeds up to 140mph when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guard rail, projecting his car into a ravine in West Goshen, PA.

The car hit several trees and burst into flames, killing both Ryan and Zachary. The crash was so bad, that they could only identify Ryan by his tattoos and his facial hair.

There wasn't much left of the Porsche.

One of the hardest hit by this was co-star Bam Margera, who was seen crying as he told news reporters how he found out by a phone call from his brother.

Toxicology reports showed that Dunn's blood alcohol content was over twice the legal limit to drive. This was corroborated with a picture Dunn tweeted earlier that night, showing Dunn (left) and Hartwell (right) drinking.

Bam was later saying he wished he could have told Dunn not to drive that night, however, Dunn would likely not have listened. Bam said this was a waking moment for him, and plead that others do not drink and drive.

I hope Bam is okay, today. I know this has been really rough on him. If he ever does read this, I'd want him to know people care about him and to soldier on. Ryan would have wanted him to.

Damn, has it really been that long?

Yes, time has gone by quickly. Also, Bam's uncle, Vincent Margera (aka "Don Vito" from Viva La Bam), died of kidney failure on November 15, 2015.
