Hello Steemians, today I bring you another fallacy, it even seems like a tongue twister. Post hoc ergo propter hoc, you can also call it Post hoc (Much easier to pronounce) or simply "False causality".

It is an expression in Latin meaning "after this, then, as a result of this." What it tries to affirm is that if an event B occurs after an event A, then B is caused by A.

Logically in some cases if it would make sense but in others ... Not so much. In fact, this fallacy is the basis of many superstitions.

For example:

"Yesterday I got money thrown on the street, it was probably because I was wearing a green shirt, after all it's the color of luck"

A rationing that has neither feet nor head, was a mere chance that can happen or not regardless of the color of clothes you wear.

Hola Steemians, hoy les traigo otra falacia, incluso parece un trabalenguas. Post hoc ergo propter hoc, también la puedes llamar Post hoc (Mucho mas fácil de pronunciar) o simplemente Causalidad falsa.

Es una expresión en latín que significa «después de esto, entonces, a consecuencia de esto». Lo que intenta afirmar es que si un hecho B ocurre después de un hecho A entonces, B es causado por A.

Por lógica en algunos casos si tendría sentido pero en otros... No tanto. De hecho, esta falacia es la base de muchas supersticiones.

Por ejemplo:

"Ayer conseguí dinero tirado en la calle, seguramente fue porque estaba usando una camisa verde, después de todo es el color de la suerte"

Un racionamiento que no tiene ni pies ni cabeza, fue una mera casualidad que puede pasar o no sin importar el color de ropa que uses.
